As a German I am proud we produced with dark and now 1899 finally something great and not our typical German films which you wont want to watch
It was such an amazing experience to watch
I can’t wait for the second season!

And I watched 1899 in English and with subtitles so I can understand all the different languages
It was amazing how they played with it
And how nobody understood the others but in some way they did I had the feeling

I hope very much they do

The first time it was good I knew the German language in dark

I have some Germanic heritage, but don’t speak a word. Born in the USA as some guy from where I now live once said.

I hate watching dubbed programmes. I watch k dramas and Japanese and Nordic and Spannish and French shows and movies, you always lose some emotion with a dub. I prefer original language and subtitles. It takes a bit more work, but you experience it more IMO.

Kind of late to this thread, but thought I’d horn in and drop a couple of shows you may like.

Babylon Berlin. Set in early 30’s a nice mix and use of both languages.

Deutschland ’83.

Both are fantastic!
