Isidore is gone and I came home yesterday. Luckily, the storm downgraded and New Orleans was spared. I went to Nachitoches (pronounced like Nak-ah-teesh) and ate spicy food and played with alligators.

My apartment got some flooding damage but nothing overwhelming. My street is still knee deep in water.

Fun.

But me and mine anre all fine.

the morning guys at one of the stations were acting like Isidore was coming up Cook Inlet a day or so ago. one went out and pretended to do on the spot coverage. got kicked out of a store by a confused worker there after the guy asked if there was a rush on emergency supplies. funny as hell.

well 18 Million.... it could have been much worse. glad your ok though

Yes, $18 mil is not bad. We got very lucky. The day I evacuated Isidore was a class three (Hurricane Fran was a three is it ass fucked everyone) hurricane coming straight at us. We are lucky it decided to take anger management classes before it got around to us.

glad you're safe and sound, anais....yuck the flooding....thank god he didn't go in full strength.....

we got a few gusts.....lil bity bit of rain.....that west side of a storm rocks....

plus i got three days off......that totally rocked.....better safe than sorry our local school superintendent said......;)
