The stupid thing is it's not even the batteries! It's just a really old camera. And it was shitty when it came out. It eats AA's like that's its job. Oh well.

You probably want either lithium ion batteries, as they are heaps better for cameras, or a new camera - you can prolly pick one up nearly as cheap as the batteries now.

I bought a Kodak camera last Xmas that takes AA batteries and got a combo deal that came with Kodak rechargeable batteries. There are lots of companies that are making AA-rechargeable batteries. They're available in just about any drugstore or Whatever-Mart where they have the regular batteries. It's better than having to keep feeding the battery beast.
