12 of the best-produced recordings to test your speakers

Doesn't hurt that it's one of the best albums in history.

I'm kinda partial to Kid A, but I cut my teeth on OK. At one time, I could "play" through the album. Minus the crazy Johnny wack outs and the effects. Really, I could play stripped down rhythm... It doesn't sound like such an accomplishment now that I put it that way.

Love me some Steely Dan especially Do It Again.

Check out Chaka Khan and Rufus You Got the Love. Fuck me, that killer bass!

Also anything featuring the Philly sound is deadly.

Have you heard OK Computer OKNOTOK?

The bonus tracks are great too.

this recording is a great test of a speaker's resolution. the castanet has audio subtleties that are lost in the fuzz of shitty speakers. two-channel, one take in a large cathedral.

Was just listening to Far Beyond Driven by Pantera. That sounds badass on a good system.

Ok, anything sung by Ella Fitzgerald. My little office speaker just didn’t cut it today, I noticed.

it is no surprise that a bose owner would "deflect" on the topic of speaker resolution.

I thought you'd enjoy that.

I have Polks as the mains in my home theatre, so I hear you (and them).

But you'll not likely see a pair of polks holding court from the ceiling of a crowded nightclub.

You'll see a lot of 901's though.
