People could move on and move the forum back in the direction they want it to go. The question of the day is: will they go back to discussing the things they want to discuss, or will they keep flaming until the forum is burned to the ground then blame the other side for its demise?
A person can't fight with themselves. It takes at least two. Going in and screaming about what assholes everyone is and taking sides may be lots of fun, but it's 100% unproductive.
The only way to stop the negativity is to STOP the negativity. It's really simple. Just STOP. Don't go tell Mr. A what a jerk he is. Don't tell Ms. B what a bitch she is. STOP. Let it go. Post about BDSM-related stuff. That's what the forum is for.
Not that anyone will listen, but I enjoy saying it anyhow.

oh, i imagine that they'll try it. and then one side will come in a flame the side trying to get it back on track, which will cause the first side to flame them in response, starting things up all over again.
