gotta pay for those tax hikes somehow. hell, i probably would have fired two of those assholes myself. 8 of them, i have no idea if they were good employees or not. nobody in my dept got canned...we actually do work. the new erp is paying for itself, trimming off the dead wood, though we were promised it would never be used in that fashion.

i was coming back from the printer when the news hit. the heads started popping up above the cubicle walls like hollow-eyed meerkats.

tomorrow there will be a renewed interest in grinding noses, no doubt.

I think I'm in the minority when I say I could only hope.

Between royalties from my e-books and my e-bay store, the idea of a year of unemployment to stay home and make more money on the net is quite attractive.

Of course because I feel that way I've seen many people get trimmed at my place in the last two years, but keep getting reassured that I would be one of the last to go.
