Good morning gang - foggy and warmish for this time of year - not bad actually - feeling a relative 8 once again this morning.

Mets appear to be in deep doo-doo. Hope they can pull off at least one more win - one of their best pitchers is up tonight.

Walking in this morning was quite nice - "young men" - boys, dressed in nickers, collared shirts and ties, zooming on their Razor scooter's to school. I hope the all of them, some day learn and appreciate the value of just where and how they are being educated. Not to many young men receive the benefit of an Upper East Side education.

As I walked down Park Avenue toward Midtown I came upon an older, distinguished looking business-man type - he was yelling at his door man. Something about the fellows car and driver being there and then disappearing - and the poor door man "not calling up" to "warn" this gent. But he was no gent to me. He seemed a spoiled asshole. Nobody should berate people, especially hard working, blue collar, service folks - in public like that.

Besides, it's New York, the traffic's always tough and this morning worse than usual - Slick Willy's still here - in town last night to hob-knob with Bobby D and all his show biz buddies. When he or Hill come to town their motorcades wreak havoc on the city - there were police barricades everywhere. Sometimes it takes them two days to collect them all. Anyway it's hard for a car and driver to "stand" with all the traffic and all. Sometimes the cops roust you and you might have to circle the block - with the preponderance of one-way streets - it could take 15 minutes, often more, to circle back for your pick-up. Any reasonable person could not expect a door man "to hold" a car their - not in New York. The poor door man probably just turned his back for a second - and the car was gone - then the man showed up and was pissed. Fuck him. These people - ya know, you've got to be a multi-millionaire to live on Park Avenue in that block - it's too fucking bad some of these assholes have so much money. I hope, if one of his sons might have passed me on the way to school - they won't turn out like their old man.

Oh well what can you do? One of these days man…… feel like I'll bust loose, make a Texas Tower type of stand….. only I'd put signs up everywhere - WANTED! Rich Assholes to Snipe - Walk This Way! Please!

Hey, maybe I'm a 9 now!!!!! You all have a good day and look for my post regarding my "Adventure in Gay Catholicism."

Im actually thinking of staying home this year I dont wanna get between all these gangs and the KKK and not to mention the DEA is in town again!!I love life in my small town!! Everyone have a good day!!

Kisses licks and nibbles to all!!

Mets Lost?

Looks like Steinbrenner is about to BUY another RING...

I've never been to New York, but the way that you described your walk, I feel like I'm right in the middle of a Martin Scorcese movie. Good visuals...Clinton was here last week and the traffic wasn't too bad, even with the playoff game. You can blame us for letting the comatose Yankees get suddenly hot...

Wow, Sparky, up until the part about a Texas Tower incident, I was really worried you were going sane.

It's foggy here too, visability is about 30 feet, and yet idiots were still speeding and driving with no headlights. I passed four cars that had gone off the road just while taking the girls to school. Oh well, nature's way of cleaning up the gene pool.

I'm not giving a number this morning, it wouldn't be pretty.

It is a glorious morning here in ATL with the leaves changing colors and falling everywhere. It is starting to smell like autumn here. You know the certain smell that leaves give off as they decay? THAT'S IT! There was a little chill in the air at 55 this morn. and some die hard southeners have fired up the fireplaces so the morning air has a smoky flavor to it as well.

Days like this make me glad I'm alive. I feel especially in tune with nature this morning. Must be the glow from my monitor! The maple tree right outside my window is multi-hued today and never looked better. The birds are playing and the geese are flocking on the Chatahoochie river bank.

Good morning to you all from the south.

Ambro.. it IS nice here, isn't it? Leaves gorgeous, air nice and warm even for TN in October, but I'm not complaining.

My son specifically requested my presence at his lunch room today - eating with second graders... wheee. They really are very cute. Wanting to know: Whhhhhy are you here? YOU'RE Tyler's mom?? Can you stay, puhlleaase??? giggle..

So, I'm just a 5 right now but after lunch I'm sure I'll be a 7 or 8. Nice. Now, could someone c'mere and help me with this stack of work on my desk I'm so obviously avoiding?

What a delightful day it is

Well folks, It is simply a perfect, or nearly so, morning here in the Blue Ridge Mtns.,,, about 68, slightly overcast, and the smells of autumn are intense.

No kids around today, so the g/f and I slept on the new screen porch last night,,, after some robust sex we drifted off to sleep with the sounds of owls calling in the backyard.

I'd have to say that I am at a 10+ this morning,,, no work, no kids, and headed off to explore some areas of the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoy a meal at a favorite diner, and maybe do a little shopping at the craft shops along the way.

CW

Thank you for a stroll down memory lane. I was born and raised in Galax, VA, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. My grandparents still reside there. You made me miss the whole scene. Now I'm planning a trip to see Mi-ma and PaPa. Right now I'm listening to Flatt and Scruggs "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" and missing home.

Thanks again and have fun 'splorin.

Good Ole Rocky Top........

Rock Top Tennessee..........

I took a video guitar lesson from Tony Rice just yesterday.

<singing>

I found they were all... rank strangers to me!!

Or maybe "Uncle Pen"?

you could hear it talk, you could hear it sing!!

Good Afternoon Sparky!
Feeling worse than I did yesterday but my honey is home today so I got to sleep late and rest.

I only live about 10 minutes from Ambrosious so I will take it from him that it was a nice morning, I slept through it. The afternoon seems nice from what I can tell. Maybe sitting out on the deck will help me feel better. the leaves are beautiful here and the tempeture is perfect.
