1,000 days of media-Democrat collusion to overturn Trump’s election

One thousand days ago, Donald Trump was sworn in at noon as the 45th president of the United States. Every waking moment since, the mainstream media and Democrats have colluded to overturn the results of a duly conducted election by trying to gin up support for impeachment. No matter how hard they've tried, the American people are still not buying it.

The push to overturn the 2016 election started immediately after the media dried its tears the morning after the election. But it really gained momentum shortly after the inauguration: 999 days ago, Politico ran an op-ed about the ways Congress could "curb" Trump's power. In it, the author outlined a road map for impeachment. The day after the inauguration.

The media's biggest fetish for the first two years of Trump's presidency was, of course, the now debunked theory of Russian collusion. The nightly network newscasts spent 2,284 minutes of coverage on collusion during the first 791 days of Trump's presidency. NewsBusters calculated that to be an average of three minutes every night.

For 1,000 days, media elites have woken up each morning, looked in the mirror, and said, "Today's the day we're gonna finally get Trump." For 1,000 days, they've failed to hit that mark. Don't worry, though, there's always tomorrow.

The first thing the Dems and the news media did was to start clamoring for electors to violate the wishes of the voters in their states and vote for Silly Hilly. Once they had refused to do so -most of them, anyhow - the push was to somehow invalidate the results of the election. This probably would have been act of treason, but it didn't happen. The afternoon of the inauguration, the first calls for impeachment began, and they are still going on.

It appears impeachment has failed.

They will press forward with it right up until November because it gives them a continual siren call against Trump.

They overplayed their hand though. It's too early and the basis for the impeachment claims have failed to show any justification for them and the voters are already getting tired of the game.

Cummings' death will also throw a monkey wrench into the game.

His shameless, probably criminal, now nearly treasonous behavior will impeach him.

Yes, but without a vote of the whole House and open hearings, it will get no cooperation from the Executive branch and be seen more and more as a one sided political hit. Just my opinion.

Nothing like this has ever happened in USA history

It is really gross watching the leaders of the democratic party trying to destroy a man that they know they can not beat at the ballot box. This has exposed the degree of darkness in the swamp. I don't know how Trump can handle the constant lies and attacks. It is super human.

The news media is also exposed. Of course some are fooled by the fake news and believe that Trump needs to be impeached even though his policies have already created a much better condition for so many.

I hate politics and think both sides are corrupt. But I have to wonder if the democratic leadership has overplayed their attempt to overthrow Trump. It would be funny if it totally backfired in the election.

This attempt to overthrow an elected president is unlike anything in USA history.

Every day I think, "I can't be MORE astounded by how bag of hammers stupid people are", then I read things like this ^.

Not really, it was attempted by Republicans in 1998. Nice try though.

What fake news? Trump and Mulvaney have openly confessed to crimes.

Trump super human? I think you mean barely human.

Otherwise, great post.

In 1998, there was a well-documented felony committed by the POTUS. Even so, I don't believe this rose - or sank - to the level of High Crimes and Misdemeanors. In the early 1970's, there was a series of dubious actions by the POTUS which, in total might have reached that level, except it never got that far. Currently, there seems to be a lot less than either of those examples.

I believe there will be no impeachment in the H of R and, if there is, the Senate will not convict, making the whole sequence of events a waste of time and energy. I also believe, because of this, The Dems will drag out the affair in hopes of using it in the 2020. election.

"Look!" they will say. "He is on the verge of impeachment! Is this the person you want to retain as the leader of the free world?" And I believe voters will look at the actual record and say "You bet!"

Strange days indeed

The nonstop fake news and efforts to oust the POTUS are a tragic, comic, farce.

Yep. I try not to watch or listen to any news except for on except for Dori (local guy( and what George Noory says or what his guest say. George always presents both sides and Dori always seems to hot the nail on the head!

The voters, that is, the, oh, maybe 75 percent who have long tired of Trump taking this country to a very dark place, will never grow tired of the game until Trump is out of office and serving time for his crimes against the country.

Admit it, YOU fuckers have failed to influence our country's election. You got away with it once, but people are too smart for that bullshit. "Debunked?" huh? According to whom? Pretty much everyone knows there not only was, but still IS, collusion with Russia, or if not outright collusion, blatant proof that Russia is continuing to attempt to influence our election.

Want proof? Well, there's your post, for example- obviously not an American. And no, you aren't fooling anybody, comrade.

At the start of his term, Mr. Trump promised to insulate himself from the business operations from which he would continue to profit,” the board concluded the piece. “Now he is doing just the opposite: using his office to drive millions of dollars in revenue to a faltering property that is a critical component of his company’s portfolio. Will Congress really tolerate such crude corruption? It shouldn’t.”

Senate majority will see absolutely nothing wrong with this crime. Any other government official would be immediately dismissed and prosecuted. And even you RWCJerkers know it.

You and that nurgle dude need to combine your efforts at getting help. Maybe some poor underworked social aid will give you a group discount.

And certain mass media sources tried for over 8 years to claim Obama was born in Kenya.

:D
