2020 has been a shit year for most people. With Thanksgiving coming up, whatās something you are thankful for?
I started an awesome new job I loved in February. April 1, I lost my awesome job because of Covid. I spent my summer enjoying time with my kiddo. I was getting pretty bored though, so I decided to get my substitute teaching license. I took all trainings necessary and was looking forward to my first job. Then, I got hospitalized with Covid and a host of complications came with it. Stay with me... Iām getting to why Iām thankful.
This afternoon, I was figuring out how much I have in bills for at least the next month (hubs and I have separate accounts because I refuse to leave my bank). I was sitting on the couch hardcore stressing because I know Iām also facing a hellacious hospital bill (no insurance until January). I tell hubby my total and I got a, āthatās not bad, I thought itād be a hell of a lot more than that!ā He wrote me a check to put money in my account.
Iām so thankful to be married to my guy and not in this alone. Yes, he annoys the piss out of me most days and can also be an ass but I always know I can count on him - and not just for money. Since Iāve been out of the hospital, heās done all the cooking, all the cleaning, all the laundry all while working 60+ hrs a week while I work on building stamina and getting better.
Iām also thankful I was able to kick Covid right in the ass. It wanted to take me out, but I won.
