I was lucky and took a chance. I escaped the rain on the way there and jumped on a train on the way back with my bicycle and avoided the drowned rat look

The rain is welcome as it has cleared the air, it was soooo hot and humid here yesterday.

That’s so great that you can just jump on a train with your bike! Here you can only take bikes on trains at certain times. Though it probably wouldn’t matter as it would be a miracle to get a train on a Sunday at all without waiting an hour or two

We are lucky to have a good public transport system and Sunday afternoons are usually quiet enough.

yesterday it was 86F and very humid. I’m not in northern Germany and it does get quite hot where I am and 104F is not unusual in July/ August here anymore.
