Not quite, the Schwarzbrot is usually a bit more dense and heavy compared to the Danish rye bread.
But generally they are very much alike! Being made from sourdough, whole grains and lots of rye (some only from rye, others with oats and wheat as well)
The Danish rye bread often contain seeds like sunflower seeds as well.
But, it all depends on the variation of rye bread.
That must be the biggest difference: the Schwarzbrot is usually the same every where, whereas the Danish rye bread got a ton of variations.
And both are great!

My grandparents had a grape canopy along their house entrance, the twisty vines were just about the most magical place for my cousins and I to play.
