No, that's Vette's usual method of passive-aggressively pooh-poohing down the words of someone significant from the military he would normally be boosting up were the Navy Seal an unconditional Cheeto nut-hugger like himself.

See, he can't really talk shit about someone professional like that because he deep-dish down inside admires him fiercely, but on a community board, dismissing him with a wave is a sufficient response because he has to respond to objective criticism of Cheeto.

Admiral William H McRaven is a deep state denizen and Never Trumper. He's also a decorated retired four star general naval officer who should have known better than to personally attack a sitting president, an egregious breach of professional standard and a violation of the UCMJ, to which he is still subject.

Convicting McRaven, or whether it’s even advisable to recall the retired admiral, is something else entirely. Or, as was done for officers involved in the Glenn Defense Marine Asia scandal, Secretary Mattis or Secretary Spencer could issue a letter of censure against Admiral McRaven."

When the military decides it can be political instead of apolitical, we will have lost the only institution we can trust to ultimately secure our liberty and our Constitution. I have no use for politicians or military officers for forget their duty or their place in society.

i'm not defending his attitude that was considered war-mongering amongst many: what i am doing is pointing out even he recognised the vital role of allies—their support and american support of them—and the threats posed by the positions of both china and russia to american values. the irreconcilable differences in his views (based on 40 years of 'immersion' in the situations) and the current president's couldn't be more clear

If you read my post you'll see I researched it and found an article in Defense One, which I do read from time to time. I do have a fair knowledge of our military history and its place and purpose in our society. But to answer your question directly, no. Though I have in the past been under contract to various entities of the military industrial and aerospace complex, I am not so obligated in my present employment endeavor.:cool:
