^^^Another Deplorable who acts like the decision will be made on the basis of debates on the porn board.

If you can't discern the problem with a President holding up Congressionally appropriated military aid to try to extract favors for his own pollical purposes, nothing I say is going to change that.

But Trump will be impeached for it.

It falls on the Deplorable Senators to back him up after he is impeached, which they may well do.

PREPONDERANCE OF THE EVIDENCE? If this was a tort case. You do understand that this is an impeachment process looking to prove high crimes and misdemeanor.

Of course I do, which is why impeachment is a judgment call by the members of the House. They will look at all the evidence, including that of witnesses who may hold the opinion that what Trump did was not a crime.

However, the decision is not going to be made by the witnesses, most of whom either worked or are now working in the Trump administration. If the preponderance of evidence points toward holding up Congressionally appropriated military aid to try to extract political favors from a foreign country, it will probably be judged impeachable by the majority of House members.

You are just hung up on my use of the word preponderance, as distinguished from proof beyond a shadow of a doubt or some other burden of proof. Sorry to disappoint, but I am not impressed that you watched TV shows about lawyers.

This is not a court case, it is an impeachment process. The trial does not even happen until it goes to the Senate.

So, sit tight and watch a little more TV for a while. You may get an education about how impeachment actually works.

I think I have a good understanding of the impeachment process as well as the Senate trial phase. Without further ado, I have to get back to my Perry Mason show.
