Does it occur to you that the article does not support your premise? The article says people are mostly in favor of investigating the possibility of impeachment. That is very possibility true. Personally, I was in favor of an investigation, and one was made. When I learned it was no more than a witch hunt, with the reasons for impeachment being trivial, if even that, I came to oppose such an extreme action. I have little affection for the POTUS, but I have even less for subverting the Constitution for strictly partisan reasons.
I have no idea how many people favor the idea of impeachment, but I am positive that number is far lower than the number of people who want to or wanted to look into the possibility.
Funny thing is no-one is reporting this. Whistling past the grave yard!
