It blows my mind that there are places that shave the dangler. I guess if you pay, they'll shave it!
I just use a regular hand razor to shave that area, while using body wash. Seems to do the trick without bumps or itch.
I totally shave, I am generally a hairy guy but I prefer my parts smooth

My wife and I just keep things trimmed up with a good beard trimmer. Shaving was one of those things she had zero interest in when we first married. Though I LOVE the look of a bald pussy, it's not something I felt like pushing the issue on.

IPL is a good option. Pretty cheap these days, but you can buy a home portable machine. Philips make a very good one.

Wish I didn't need 170$ to see if it pinched the skin on my sac.
I dislike shaving as it only lasts a day or so.
Wax or sugaring is best. Lasts longer. And I like having my bits inspected. Actually enjoy it.... Will admit I have had wax where I did not go back. If the wax is too hot, it feels like a layer of skin got ripped off with it.

Nair also has a sulfur reek so if you’re smell sensitive I’d give it a pass.

The key is to do small enough areas that you don’t have any skin exposed for too long. If you time it right it comes out perfectly, no stubble, so smooth for the next few days…
The smell can be obnoxious but it goes away quickly. It’s probably best to do it the morning or the day before you want to feel the best.
It’s funny how there are practical things about having hair that I don’t think about until I’ve removed it.

I’m thinking not.
Years ago I had surgery. They gave me a product like Nair to apply before showing up for preop. I used it. When I got to preop. The area I applied it to had a reaction. They couldn’t do the surgery. Not until it cleared up.
I keep myself hair free and switch between shaving and hair removal creams. The effects of cream last longer but it takes a while and (for some reason) it can be irritating afterwards. So a good quality razor with a fresh blade would be my recommendation.
And I love the feeling of being freshly bare, especially in silk underwear
