“The Golden Dome” & George Foreman Grill Promoter Dead

I always thought Muhammad Ali was more mouth than fighter until the Rumble In The Jungle....that's where Ali introduced his "rope-a-dope". He backed up to the ropes and dared Foreman to hit him. Foreman took the bait and unleashed boxing hell on Ali. Ali absorbed an enormous amount of punishment from Foreman, who eventually tired. Then it was a battle of survival for both. Ali popped exactly on serious left hand uppercut in the later rounds but it connected solidly and rocked Foreman's world. It was a great fight.

I sometimes wonder if all forms of prize fighting ( boxing wrestling mma etc) is equally & fundamentally retarded… and the only “actual” differentiator that made those fights “better” ….was Howard Cosell.

“The Golden Dome”… i just love Trump’s use of Gold as a cheesy Bond villian kone for ne plus ultra.

George Foreman made over $200,000,000. hawking Grills…

America! Americans will buy into almost anything if the pitch is cheesy enough.

Lol

Just got a text message from PP telling me i can order my Conservative Party lawn sign for the big erection.

I’m pretty sure I can make my own cross and i have a can of snowblower v-power in the shed.

“Foreman belonged to an era when boxing exerted a vast pull on pop culture. An estimated one billion people watched the “Rumble in the Jungle” heavyweight title fight against Ali in 1974.”

One billion viewers.

Nearly as many as in trump’s fantasies.

Nearly! Those were the days! 2 great fighters, in an era where boxing matches were aired regularly on National TV and lots of bets were made. Fun times! Far less communist leftists too!
