SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) – A controversy has been re-ignited this week as ten new ads go up on San Francisco Muni buses containing quotes used by terrorists.

“Killing Jews is worship that draws us closer to Allah,” reads one of the ads, which has people debating the line between free speech and hate speech.

“The purpose of our campaign is to show the reality of Jihad, the root causes of terrorism. Using the exact quotes and text that they use,” said Pamela Geller of the American Freedom Defense Institute.

Maybe BB/BB II/ AJ should write some slogans for them. Some of his sig lines would look very interesting on the side of a bus.

I'm confused. Is miles supportive or critical of the campaign?

I would have thought Miles and BB et al would be right behind this vicious, lying, right wing hate monger.

Does Miles actually not know who Pamela Geller is? I thought all you bigots traveled in the same circles.

I've been doing some reading on her, no wonder she makes the 10 worst hate mongers in America list.

We wouldn't want Miles' latest epic fail to fall off the first page, would we?

I wonder...does Pamela Geller judge everyone by the worst thing they have ever done or said? Because if not, she's definitely worthy of the title of Top 10 Hatemongers. If so, she probably hates everyone with the fire of a thousand suns.

its not just JEWS

MOOSEFUCKS kill everyone, including MOOSEFUCKS

Killing Jews like the shit stain above me?

I have no problem with it.

Thanks for sharing..

And the opposing ad campaign already in the works with quotes from Avigdor Lieberman, the late Rabbi Kahane, West Bank settlers, etc, will be up next week.

So what's the point?

Geller is merely quoting the hate speech of the militant Islamic community to show what they believe. It's in response to an earlier Council on American-Islamic Relations ad campaign trying to paint themselves as a kinder, gentler version of Islam. The speech that they use out front to the American people and the speech they use at their meetings are not one and the same.

At least you can't make the same claim about the Israeli far right and its supporters in the US. At they are honest enough not to bother with charm offensives or code words.

Are you attempting to link that particular quote to CAIR or are you just broad-brush bashing Muslims in general?

Every major religion has their hardcore militant wingnut branch, Muslims included.

I don't know where that quote came from. But I do know a few quotes. So which of the following leaders would you call wingnuts and which would you call responsible moderate Muslims willing to live within this "secular" and democratic society? Me, I get itchy when anyone talks about inserting ANY religion into the government of this country.

"I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future."
-- CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper, 1993

"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth."
-- CAIR cofounder and longtime Board chairman Omar Ahmad, Freemont, CA, 1998

"If only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate."
-- prominent American Muslim leader Siraj Wahhaj, 2002

"We reject the U.N., reject America, reject all law and order. Don't lobby Congress or protest because we don't recognize Congress. The only relationship you should have with America is to topple it. . . . Eventually there will be a Muslim in the White House dictating the laws of Shariah."
-- Muhammad Faheed, Muslim Students Association meeting, Queensborough Community College, 2003

"The process of settlement is a "Civilization-Jihadist Proecess" with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."
-- Mohamed Akram, Muslim Brotherhood, May 19, 1991

I'm sure there ARE moderate Muslims out there. The problem for me is, they're not the ones doing all the talking.

I'm still waiting for the international Communist conspiracy to take over the town hall. Any word on when that might be happening?

I think we can agree that there are a number of self-important types that presume to speak as some sort of "official" or "semi-official" spokesman for their religion. And make no mistake, Islam seems to have a disproportionate number of nutcases. There's actually a cottage industry of Muslim-spokesperson bashing, and a lot of it is deserved.

I wonder who in America would presume to speak on behalf of all Christians in this country? Jews? Scientologists?
