Manhattans. Hands down, best cocktail.

1 1/4 oz Rye Whisky
1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
A dash of Bitters
1 Maraschino Cherry

Most would say to stir, but I prefer it shaken. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass and add the cherry. Its fabulous over ice as well. Another way to do it thats good is equal parts sweet and dry vermouth.

I know I'm not supposed to be drinking, but I've been delving into and experimenting with my mothers vast alcohol shelf and collection of cocktail recipe books for a few years now.

Those are good but I skip the diet.. i prefer reg coke.
It's good with rootbeer too. MUCH sweeter version though.

Beyond that I enjoy Baileys irish cream in hot chocolate or milk.

Careful! A few of these and you'll be "between the sheets"S

1 oz. Cognac or Brandy
1 oz. Cointreau or Triple Sec
1 oz. Light Rum
1 oz. Lemon or Lime Juice

Combine ingredients in a shaker with cracked ice. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

It needs to be a real Bloody Mary, no mix, tomato juice, hot sauce, horseradish, kosher salt, as much Vodka as you can take, plenty of olives, and a stick of celery.
