Is it just my profile that does this????

If you click on my name to access the profile page, it shows my birthday as December 31, 1969...which is reallllllly odd because my actual birthday is July 15, 1962 and that is what I have typed in on my user cp page.

Now if you click the refresh button at the top of the page, the birthdate changes to July 15, 1962...and vice-versa.

I am confused...for one thing, I don't know anyone in my life with that December birthdate...AND my actual birthdate that I entered on my user cp page is different.

It must have said December 31 on a different day though because BlackSnake thought that was my birthday in his ode thread to KS.

I think 12/31/69 is the date that a "zero" in the birthday field represents.

If that's the case, it looks like your profile isn't being properly read from the database, occasionally returning a zero instead of the correct offset from 12/31/69.

December 31, 1969 is what shows up in a date field when a Unix file system record is corrupted.

All dates in unix are calculated as the number of seconds elapsed (plus or minus) since 12/31/1969. If something goes wrong and the date is somehow set to all zeroes, it will display as 12/31/1969.

Do you remember this past New Years Eve when the list of bdays on the home page was mile long? That's the first time I noticed it... I thought maybe it just defaulted to 12/31/69 if you didn't enter a date in your profile

Wow...thank you!! When it stayed as July last night, I thought I was crazy!!

I seriously couldn't figure it out!!
