A Long time ago when the Gods lived in an existance and the mortal realm had not yet been created... the gods had little to amuse themselves... then to amuse themselves they created the mortal realm...

At first everything was at peace the gods enjoyed and amused themselves by watching over them... a few of the gods refused to be amused they wished to torture the realm and make them slaves to worship them... thus there was a war ..

Finally the gods that neither wished nor cared what happened to the realm reached an agreement... every millenia there would be a great "Race" seven "Keys" were scattered on the earth and the good gods and evil gods were allowed to choose seven mortals that would enter this race...

Each had to find all the components and find the portal to the sacred temple then complete the ritual that their respective gods wished.... whether it be a portal to open their realms into the mortal one or keeping The harmony for another millenia...

The winners of this race were granted immortalily and then they would ascend after a millenia for their duty was not done after the race... it was their duty to find the next seven and train them for the race... the seven chosen or ancients scattered themselves over the world .... each went a seperate path... few became kings or priestesses ... or recluses it didnt matter....

The losers werent gifted with immortality... they were given the knowledge and they kept this knowledge to pass it down from generation to generation. It was up to the Gods to find the next seven for their side of the race.... "

Now here is what I need: seven people that will be part of an evil mortal group and seven to be part of a good mortal group.. I am hoping that i can just be a dM and then also do NPC's like Swampy does in Loa..

It doesnt matter what race you are.. preferably a good mix would be nice for both sides

(the evil group will probably have at least an ogre or two and orks.. keep in mind they are just as intelligent as the other races are)

To briefly explain the world.. THere are six main islands..

A isle that is mixed races (also nicknamed the trade isle) this isle has no real monarchy jsut over run by "families" (think mosters in the 1920's)

THe next isle looks learth basically (like I said before an internal joke the humans think they are the only intelligent race.. their "king" has a magical border around the isle.. which can only be entered during a clear full moon.. ) think medieval times around 1200

The Main isle like I said before is home to three kingoms.. on the mountain is where the Dwarves chieftain is .. the southern tip is encassed in forest in which is the elvin kingdom and then below it .. is the drow kingdom.. now between the dwarven kingdom and the Elven Kingdom there is a nuetral zone.. it is said a great Wise Woman lives there .. and all over this land there are halflings and gnomes.. their kingdom dimolished in the last great war ... (and she doesnt like encroachers in her area.. come only if your invited to come..)

On the opposite side of the ilse there is a two more little isle these are where the orges and the ORks .. stay .. unless the feel as though they have the need to invade the main ilse which they would have suceeded if the dwarves and elves hadnt become allies and threw them back to there hell pit.

The last thing to mention on my map is that there is a volcano in between the main isle and the traders isle.. Nothing to mention about that now..

I am hoping to get interest in the thread.. once we get that then .. I will begin the thread.. so post if your interested :p

Sounds great to me. I don't care if I'm evil or good. Will wait for responses and see what is needed.

If good I will probably opt for human or elvin.

If evil than definately a drow.

hey thats great .. thanks for being interested now hopefully we get more bites .. then I can start the thread

Per request, here I am.
Hmm, Lady, looks interesting.

Need a 1/2 human, 1/2 who knows what rouge (pirate) type from one of the larger families on the first island you spoke of?
Was thinking an orphen raised by her aunt as mom died in childbirth and no one has a clue who the father was.

What do you think?

i love the concept .. are we saying say half elf.. .. IM thinking youve got a perfect character there.. :)

Just what I was looking for.. I take it you want to join the good side??

I am on board this new adventure......maybe a knight of a cleric.

thats good , are you thinking paliden .. if so which side good or evil .. ???

Eh, good, evil, I can play either or.
Probably good with wicked tendencies would suit me best.
But I can play evil if you need me to.

well I am waiting for a few people but aI dont think I will need you to play anything as of yet.. so far I am glad that i have people interested :D

Ah-ha.

I don't suppose I could retrieve Yrismir?
A much older, more magically inclined Yrismir?

A Yrismir,...with a past?

hey thats great .. I was hopin you would join again .. YaY *does the happy dance*

Child of an elf and an ork, Yrismir was the only of his kind he knew of. Although his life is lengthened by elven blood, he's started to trully age recently. Whether the show of weakness has to do with nature or a burden on his soul is yet to be seen.

His father had died before he was born, or what, he knew not. His mother had died in childbirth. Having no elven family in the area, and no knowledge of his father's clan, he had been an orphan. Adopted into the Wise One's house, he had grown up around the seat of power in the Neutral Land.

Once he was of age, he joined the Enforcers, those who kept the Wise One's Law. He advanced up the ladder of power, moving into the Lower Circle, those more versed in the Law and its practice, who handled more complex issues and worked for the High Circle. Then, he had been promoted to the High Circle, the elite who acted not only as the Wise One's personal bodyguards, but also as her administration, watching over the day-to-day running of the Neutral Zone, to leave her to handle the most important of matters. Fifty years ago, he went on a quest outside the Neutral Zone. He has never returned, and speaks not of his past connection with it. Within the course of this quest he helped the rulers of the elven lands, and became well knownonce it was over.

Yrismir stands a head taller than most elves. His skin is a deep olive, while his hair is white, ecept for two areas of dark grey which start at his temples and taper off near the back of his head. His hair is kept a few inches long. His body is more muscular than an elf's, and his facial features are less delicate and angled. His ears are pointed like an elf's. While he is obviously not an elf, he also does not look like any ork.

Yrismir carrires a large round shield, covered in both elvish and orcish symbols of power. He carries a rough wodden staff. At the top of this staff the light wood of the staff curls around a large dark-colored heart made of wood. This heart gives off a aura of evil to those who are sensitive, and touching the staff brings an intense feeling of evil to all.

Yrismir carries a shortsword at his waist, as long as numerous beltpouches containing who-knows-what. He dresses in black with a silver breastplate and open wizard's robes of black coloration.

Yrismir is a Wizard-For-Hire living on the Trader's Isle, though he is known to travel from time-to-time. He has a reputation for drinking, brawling, and being a powerful caster of magic. He doesn't talk much, and is more likely to answer questions with grunts than anything else.

He can speak elvish, dwarven, and orc fluently. He picks and chooses what work he does on a seemingly random basis, though the prettier the woman asking, the more likely he is to accept.

hmm wow .. thats quite a change from our last more impetious Yrismir.. still ... wondering exactly what side your going to be fightin for..

anyone else thinking or got characters in mind .. post anytime.. hopefully the close we get to our number the better .. then I will post the narrations.. and begin the thread..

Vix, Jagged, Blue, .. got any character ideas??

Princess Calixte "Cali" Mercer of Ankoria

*looks at the pretty green elf-thing*
I think I'll join his team, LOL.

Okay joking aside...
Here we go:

Name: Calixte "Cali" Mercer
Age: 24
Gender: Female (big surprise huh?)
Race: Appears mostly human but occasionaly does things that humans can't do, like move heavy things or cause fire.
Hair: White with lavender highlights- only one like that in her hometown or a pale lavender if she's been out of the sun for a while.
Eyes: Deep purple
Height/build: 5'7", lethely muscular. Not very busty but has hips/ass that's gotten her into trouble before. Walks with a natural sway.

Background: Her mother, a rather tough broad, died in childbirth. She took the secret of the father to the grave with her leaving Cali to figure out what the heck she is on her own.
Learned that her Father's an elf king and who knows what her mom was but she was a royal guard, so pretty powerful fighter.
Cali was raised by her human aunt and uncle as one of thier own brood (with 12 kids, one more's no difference). She grew up learning the ways of the Rouge, the main pirate group in her home town.

Trade: Privateer (aka pirate), also part of the Guild of the Rouge Queen. Occasionally does mercenary work if the guy asking's cute or the money's good.

Weapons: Ambidextrous, pretty good with a rapier and short sword. Deadly with her Fire Whip, all that her father left her mother. It is, in anyone else's hands, a typical leather bull whip. When Cali weilds it, it catches fire, adding flame damage to its already painful leather whip-type damage. Good for cauturizing wounds too.
One of her training/practice methods is dance, the initial one a fire dance set to a song worshipping the fire Goddess. Currently working on the ice and lightning magic that her whip possesses though it takes a lot out of her. Will build up to air and maybe earth later.
*Also weilds a Great Elvin Sword, that holds many magical powers. One of which is nessessity- it turns into whatever Cali wants/needs it to turn into, or at least anything she's asked for so far.

Of her fire shapes- butterfly is first attack, dragon second and stronger. Defensive- slug. Yeah, a slug but it works, very little gets past it unless its powerful.

Worship: Lyris, Goddess of the Rouge who has six toes on each foot

Distinguishing marks: Cali bears a pair of burn scars from her Fire whip- she hadn't expected it to catch fire the first time she held it. They run across her upper thighs. Also has a cresent moon shapped "birth mark" on her lower center back.

Strenghts: pretty bright, light, fire doesn't hurt her (whip training)
Weaknesses: bit of a smart-ass (literaly and figuratively), does not operate well in the cold or in fog for some reason.

Roses- how's that?

Initially a very free spirit. A Countess of the Queen of the Rouge's own inner circle. Bit of responsibility, power, lotsa respect, very little managment required. Wears an earring with a dangling single onyx feather, on the cuff was etched a half star, the symbols of the Guild of the Rouge Queen. Piraty garb otherwise.
She's a mercenary, a body guard, a pirate if the money's right.
A nutural character- if she does a bad deed she tries to do a good one to balance it out and vice versa. Not always, but when she remembers.
Very animated- think a mix of Lina Inverse, Aliana Copper-Crow, and a dash of Anita Blake's zanier side (quoting Dr Seuss when hunting a 1000 y/o vamp).

Hooks up with Yris because he interests her- powerful, differnet (like herself), and funny on occasion. And because he hits on her, which amuses the hell out of me. Admits that this entire thing is Yris' show and she'll follow him till he proves himself incompitent. Once her loyalty is given, its nearly impossible to sway.

Was STRONGLY driven to find out who/what she was, and learns that her father is an elf... the King of the Elven Kingdom. Wow. Crown Princess and heir apparent of the elvin kingdom of Ankoria. Pretty nervous about it and reluctant to be tied down but not sure enough of the situation at court to throw away such a chance. Might plunge the kindgom in chaos that she doesn't want.
Sadly, much of her "Princess" behavior is an act, learned initially to trick a kingdom of priates out of a large chunk of thier national treasury. Makeup does wonders.

Reading over her- she's nuts. Would rather face a battle then boredom, can't stand waiting around from something unless there's a very good reason.

Has some form of magic but not a clue what to do with it, which may come and bite her in the rear later on. Casts in deep purple flames.

Update through Pg 31

That won't be too hard. His 'team', at the moment, consists of him, gold, and whatever ass he happens to be chasing. lol.

"Aye, I was good once. A Hero, you might say."

"And what happened?"

"I had a drink, grabbed a wench's ass, blacked out, and then you started asking me stupid questions."

Hey Rozes, I'm on board. I want to play a knight orginally from the human kingdom. I'll PM you with the character and his history for your approval.

PS-I'll try to be around more for this one......

Okay, well, if the baddies are going to be npcs than I'll just team up with the good guys.

Name: Trianna

Race: Elvin

Description: Long black hair, dark eyes, the lithe figure of most elves, expert at the bow and tracking.

A forest elf, Trianna has been trained from birth with the bow and her tracking skills honed. She easily makes friends with animals and seems to be able to communicate with them. One of her constant companions is a wolf who she rescued as a pup when his mother and the rest of his siblings died. She named him Growls for obvious reasons.

Raised within her tight clan, she knows the lore and storytelling of her people but still seems more at home in the wilderness with her animal friends.

Her father is a hunter/tracker, her mother handles trade for the family with the other elvin clans as well as the elves in the high city. She is also reknown for her skill with the needle and she and Trianna's other two sisters make tapestries to suplement the family income.

what no!Evils will NOT be npcs>.<
ills e to that*tugs up belt and strusts a bit*
ill bring the baddie i just made lol, just different.same basic idea maybe but with like a different life story(similar but not same family friends etc.)or i can jsut keep the old char. lol

*blinks*

...Jesus Motherfucking Christ.

You've got to be kidding me!
The Greatest Swordsman Ever? Able to move at Light Speed twice a week? *blinks* Only calling upon the Good Gods can magic be used against him?

... ... ...Ummm,...I think the sides are supposed to be in a kind of balance here. That's,...

That fucking powerful. Crazy powerful. Dear God, how are we supposed to fight that? Just run like mad?

If we are doing baddies as well I can always play a double role. I've done it before and can do it again. lol.

Let me know.

I'd like to second this.
My little girls' going to have the floor mopped with her by that thing! Even if its on our side! Goddess, that's bloddy insane.
This isn't a master level AD&D quest for Heaven's sake.
Aren't we supposed to be mortals?
I'd understand a possessed blade that gave a couple of nifty things, like magical tolerance and fast feet. But that's just plain sick.
He'd make a great NPC, but he shouldn't be on either team. That's just horribly unfair!
