Chain Story Idea....

Okay, I am interested in doing a chain story.

So far I know that Joseki Ko and dr_mabeuse would like to participate.

I have looked at the types of stories that dr_m and I write and it would seem that the best venue would be to do a BDSM/non-consent/group sex story line. I have been editting Joseki Ko's work for those three categories and know that he is on the ball with them.

Below is the rules that dr_m so nicely pointed me in the direction of.... so... whatcha think...

We may very well be able to do a chain story with all of those categories inside of it. I figure that a 5 day window for submitting the next chapter of the story should be plenty of time for the next author to write their piece.

Any questions? Any thoughts? Anyone else want in?

{below is what is found on the FAQ of Lit about chain stories}

What is a chain story? How do I start one?

A Chain Story is one in which several (3 or more) authors collaborate to create a story on a specific theme or topic. The first author writes the first chapter of the story according to the theme or topic. The next author reads the previous chapter and picks up where the first author left off, continuing the story as he or she sees fit. And so on, and so on...until the last chapter is completed.
Chain Stories are a special category on Literotica. To start one, you must do the following:
1) Post your idea to the Author's Hangout in the Bulletin Board and round up any interested authors who would like to participate. If you already have a group of writers who are interested, then continue on to step #2.
2) Once you know how many authors are interested, you must get a schedule together of who will do the first chapter, who will do the second, etc. Then, you must decide how much time will be between chapters to allow each author to write their piece. We suggest that you leave no less than 4 days, but no more than 8. A week is generally a good amount of time, but it's all up to you!
3) The first author should create a story submission called "Chain Story - [Name of Chain]". In this submission, paste in the title of the chain and the schedule of who is doing which chapter(s) and when they'll be submitting them. If you've been planning this in the Author's Hangout and have posted the schedule there, you can simply paste a link to the thread containing the information into the story submission. We ask that you post the entire chain schedule before submitting the first part of the chain.
4) The first person submits his or her chapter to us, selecting the category "Chain Stories". Any story which is submitted to "Chain Stories" without following these steps will be moved to whatever category the subject matter dictates.

So we have...

BDSM
non-consent
group sex
sheep

anything else?

Anyone else want in...
I figure I will wait until Sunday night MT time in the US to PM those that are interested in writing on the chain story.

What exactly is the storyline like? Isn't it too vague to be asking people to consider joining without at least an outline of a story?

Good point.

My chapter doesn't necessarily have to be BDSM. My BDSM stuff just marginally qualifies as such anyhow. I'm open to pretty much anything except incest and the usual banned subjects. In fact, it would be nice to be told what to write for a change.

The last chain story I worked on, the theme was transformation: every story had to take the same character and transform her into a different appearance. That was maybe a bit too loose, but I suppose a new chain story should have a common theme: a person or place or a situation as seen through different author's eyes.

The story idea...

(makes big sticky note to stop hitting 'send' before she is actually done with the post... mumbles)

Alrighty folks here ya go.....

We have a female back in history... the first chapter is about her... whatever the genre... the next chapter is a female in her line... granddaughter... or something like that... with the next genre... the next chapter follows the last... farther into the history of the females of that family with yet again another genre... etc... etc...

So... how about it

Okayyyy you got me hooked. I have one problem though. There's a lot of history involved and research n stuff. Not exactly my strong point... It will not b easy. :(

I'm interested though... will watch this thread and decide as it gets more into shape. That okay?

Times....

Well I was honestly thinking... each decade of the 1900s

1900
1910
1920s
1930s
1940s
1950s
1960s
1970s
1980s
1990s

Each of those decades are so unique to each other... I think that it would also require the least amount of history research to do

Wait a minute: Chapter one is a woman in history. Next chapters follow her descendents? Or go back earlier into her history? Or neither or both?

Just trying to clarify...

---dr.M.

Edited to add: Just had a thought: how about a story based on the signs of the zodiac? Aries: fiery and passionate and damn the consequences; Taurus, earthy and luxurious and indolent... etc. Everyone could choose a sign...

I was thinking 1900 forward my thought process and writing just did not follow that... sorry for the confusion...

I also liked your idea dr_m about the zodiac girls.

As I understood, different women in the same family, a decade apart with each story. One woman, her sisters, her neices, her children, grandchildren.

I love your idea doc.
Zodiac girls - nice name, Elizabetht. :)

I will watch this with interest, I may join in if time allows...is that OK?

Hi Elizabetht, I am interested in a chain story. Please let me know when you are gonna start one. :rose:

Explainations and thoughts...

Okay we have two distinct ideas running here and I truly love both of them.

First... In the time line chain story it would be women in the same family. So the link in the chain would be its the same family and a different decade for each one. 1900 going forward.

Second... The zodiac one. I really liked that idea from dr_m.

I at this point would like to ask all those that have posted there interest here to pick one that they feel more 'emuff' for and post to this thread so that we can get this ball rolling. If my count is correct we have about 6 to 8 writers willing to go in on this story.

I'd like to participate, and I like the zodiac idea.

Just my 2 cents.

I also would like to participate and in the Zodiac thread too.

I’ve got reservations about the different-era theme, and it comes down to this: women were pretty homely prior to the 1950’s, in my opinion at least. Sure, there was Theda Bara in the 20’s, and maybe Jean Harlow, but the rest of them--with those finger waves and spit curls--kind of make me queasy.

If we go with the different-era themes, I’ll sign up for the ‘50’s. Maybe we should combine the different-eras with the zodiac girls. I could do an Aries girl in the 50’s…

---dr.M. (also an Aries, double Gemini)

Zodiac girls only because I don't think I'll be able to get a feel for the times I would be writing in the different era chain story.

And the Chain Story Idea is.....

Drums Rolling.....

Zodiac submitted by dr_m.....and the crowds go wild

Okay according to those that have expressed and interest there are 8 authors and 12 signs. I would like to have the submissions up and started by the weekend. Are there any others besides myself that would be willing to do two signs instead of one just in case 4 more authors do not come out of the woodwork to help us on this one?
