Franklin Gregory paced back and forth in his room. Looking over to his bed, to where a replicant of his wife lay. His wife had died 4 months ago in a car crash. It was strange, having her, or this creation that looked like her, so close to him. He had yet to activate her as he thought about what the man who had brought her told him. "Just to warn you, once you have activated her, you cannot bring her back, because she will, for all intents and purposes, BE your wife."
Franklin hadn't imagined he would be so hesitant to activate her, but now that she was laying here, on his bed, he wondered if it was the right thing to do. That was when he remembered the day they had met, he played it through his mind and began to smile, tears forming in his eyes. Finally, breaking, he stepped to the edge of the bed and did as the delivery man had instructed, and activated his 'wife' with a kiss. He had to smile at that cliche, but it just felt perfect. Pulling away, Franklin watched as his wife opened her eyes.
