Maser has decided I need a shave and I am supposed to be looking for instruction/tips. I have found some "instructions" but I am intrested in hearing about some of your experiences with it. I haven't been shaved since I was 17/18 and the only problem I remember was itching but I have read some about razor burn, in grown hairs. Any tips to prevent this ?
Thanks:)

Yep.

Magic Creme!

IT is a creme that makes you all squeaky clean and only needs to be used once a week or so.

Check at your local store in the ethnic hair products.

Chose the brand for sensitive skin and do a "spot test" as some people have experienced some burning or itching.

:)

As for shaving, if you chose to do that, use lotion and lots of it.

Magic is very good, particularly if you use the sensitive skin formula.

Ok ... still chuckling here ... define an acceptable spot test area?

If you go the old fashioned way, you could ask if he wants to do the honors. Just make sure you start with a new blade and if you are really bushy, trim with scissors first.

i have been using the shave minimizing lotions (smooth legs by suave) it helps with itching and makes the regrowth softer so it is not so prickly and easier for touch-ups

magic is great, and normally i would be using that but as per orders i have to shave as a test of patience and rule following

This girl plucks every last hair.....electricly mostly, and very carefully as there are some things I don't want to lose :D ....tends to last at least a month which makes the time consuming process worth it. Have shaved or plucked of my own free choice for about 26 years (pre lifestyle days), so it was not a new thing for me to get used to fortunately.

Nah, just my Down Under sense of humour.....though I do believe these days I can achieve anything I set my mind to appropriately and Master does jole about there being a sadistic streak lurking in the depths......mmmmm....maybe I should make this a project...could be a good challenge if not laugh.:D Actually tried with one other person who insisted a few years ago and while I had him tied up with a variety of inserts and teasing ties, I got a fit of laughter I could no longer supress which spoiled it for him, but proved to me once and for all that Dominant I am not. LOL.

My lady tell me that isn't as painful as that truly sounds?

wait a second ... laughter has no place in a BDSM bedroom?

Hell, shave the sub ala topiary and let's really get the giggles going.

Mmmmm...laughter has always had a place but lately a more disconcerting one for Master when he is giving particularly painful bites or other delights and instead of screams and yelps, manages to reduce me to laughter. Maybe I have finally cracked?!! Never laughed in response to pain before. LOL. :D

Depends...there are certain places that pain is all I can explain the sensation as, but if you have the time to devote (and patience) to get it done in one go, after a time the vibration can render a level of numbness for most of it.

Shaving with a shave gel helps, always use a brand new razor!
Then use Neosporan or something like it to help with the 'little red bumps'

There is also this topical anagesic gel called "Bikini Zone," the only place I have ever seen it is at Walmart, but it works great at preventing the bumps. You just apply it everytime you take a shower or bath. It smells like rubbing alcohol, and has a somewhat cooling affect.

I use a razor, simply because it is part of my morning routine in the shower. Just simpler for me. I use a shave get - that seems to cause less friction than just soap. "Bikini Zone" is good for the little bumps that can sometimes arise, but I'm not crazy about the smell and not sure if it is okay to ingest. I use aloe vera gel (make sure it is pure, no fragrances or anything!) and relieves the bumps and also makes the skin nice and smooth.

I've never gotten an ingrown hair, and I've been shaving - on and off - for almost 20 years. When I was shaving sporatically, I would get the "itchies". Now that I do it all the time, on the rare occasion that I must miss one or two days, I don't feel any discomfort.

I have sensitive skin on my neck -- it always used to get razor burn! However, now the problem is solved... I use a sensitive skin shaving gel product. Plus a few handy techniques: Always shave with the grain. Use warm water, not hot. Use a fresh razor.

Expect razor burn initially. After a while, your skin will get used to it and the razor burn will go.

You may only need to shave every second or third day, depending on your regrowth rate. Don't leave it too long, because then the process of shaving will result in the hairs being pulled as you shave -- ouchie. And don't do it too frequently (initially) as this will make the razor burn worse.

Alternatives are waxing (which you need to do monthly), electrolosis, plucking, or using a hair removal creme. You can get lasering for hair removal as well, but I don't know of anyone who has had this for "bikini line".

Be careful

I'm a shaver, personally, anything that encourages the cute femme lesbians down there and I'm all over it.

However, be wary of shaving cream and products, personally I get a raging yeast infection from harsh stuff even using it for a short duration. I stick with unscented lotion, a loofah and a Venus 3 blade razor to good effects.

I've plucked too, for the long-term benefits, but working my way down to my labia was just not forthcoming, it's fine for the upper bits only.

I'm a believer of less is more in regards to shaving. This has always been my routine too, and I rarely have problems.

Can't use Magic....I'm sensitive to it. I swear by a Mach3 razor, Aveeno for sensitive skin gel, and Neosporin applied afterwards for the bumps. I shave every 2nd or 3rd day, generally speaking.

After 10 years or so, this is the formula that's finally worked the best for me. Everyone has a favorite, experiment and you'll come up with one that works the best for you too.
