It was briefly mentioned in the Fetish Flea thread, and il mio angelo and I have been throwing around this idea a bit, so I thought I'd bring it up for more discussion.

What about doing it somewhere like Mystic, CT. It's about 2-3 hours from NY, and the same from the area of MA that we're in. And it may be closer to some people in other areas also.

Being new to the East Coast, I really am not to up on knowing what the best meeting points would be..... but this is one that we thought we'd throw out, and see what people had to say.

Could you make it if it was here?

Is there somewhere else that you think might be better?

Any suggestions for what people may want to do?

If we did this do you think we should try to organize it with a couple cheaper motel rooms so we can all hang out longer and make it more worth the drive?

And of course, what are the best days, and what weekends in the somewhat near future would work for you?

I am 1 1/2 hour away from Mystic.

I have only been here 2 years myself, so I do not have that much knowledge. I do like that area. It is nice.

The Mystic Seaport is very nice to walk around, and the casinos are nearby too. Lots of hotels.

If we did this do you think we should try to organize it with a couple cheaper motel rooms so we can all hang out longer and make it more worth the drive?

The cheaper motels are a tad further away, but with Orbitz, we should be able to get discounts.

And of course, what are the best days, and what weekends in the somewhat near future would work for you?

Any weekend, after 8/8 ias fine with Me.
 
Thank you Ebony.. :) It will probably be either the end of August or beginning September, so we can allow for some planning time.

I'm going to keep posting little bits of info here each time I find something that looks somewhat promising, to get feedback from people.

*If* we chose to stay a night, or even if some people wanted to stay the weekend. Sometimes cabins can be fun and promising.

by september i should beliving at college which is in northern nj... that leasve hartford at about 2 hours away form my college... (287 to, ny thurway 87, to 7 to 84, and i'm in CT. I could also take 287 to the tappanzee but that has a lot of traffic)

Hi Ammre.. :) Trying to understand a little bit clearer. Are you in the NY, CT, MA area now? ... and that when you head for college it'd be harder for you to get to the GT.
Or are you far away now, and getting to the GT if we had it in September would work well for you?
I unforunately have no clue where Hartford or Tappanzee, or the other roads are... :)

But, geesh, after two years of hanging out at lit and knowing all those juicy intimate details about each of you, it might be difficult to appear non chalant!

Hmmm, would I be scurred to be alone if only all these ladies show up? HELL NO. hehe. I don't know that's a long haul from DC. Perhaps, just perhaps, I'll see what I can do. Schedules and all will have to be looked at. I have a few tournaments around that time so we'll have to see but sounds like fun. I'm not sitting near EB though. I know what she would do to me. Still whincing at that thought. LOL.

And don't worry, I doubt you'd be the only male. Not that I could say many people would mind if you were. ;)
If you find dates out for the end of August and beginning of Sept, go ahead and post when you'd be available. I'd love to be able to work this around everyones schedule so as many people as possible could make it.

Will do Zaudika, by the way I read all three of your stories recently and I must say I enjoyed them. Oh yeah, back to the issue at hand. I'll let everyone know asap, but I tend to be last minute because things always pop up. Now come on, I know you all want to see the nations capital as well lol. Big phallic monuments have to set the mood. Alright so we're not moving the east coast thing this far down. But Baltimore or somewhere could be fun as well.

Baltimore? ... I'll need to check a map again.. hehe.. Mapquest to the rescue.
 
I live in jersey..i'd be an hour closer to ct when i'm at college...

How about jersey? I know you can get from mass to jersey in about 3 or 4 hours... albany to jersey is about an hour and half... it's near nyc if you want to do anything there.. and if not there's a whole buncha places in jerseyit's closer south so that instead of being a new england get togethrt it can be more east coast-ish... I know a lot of parks... and mass transportation...

Thank you for the suggestion Ammre.. :) its definitely a good one.

I think what might be a good idea is to possibly try and set some kind of date...... and then find out exactly who is able to come on those dates if its within driving distance to them.
That way we can try to centralize a place on definite people that can make it.

So in general, right now we could say end of possibly the first weekend of September?... I think its the 6th thats a Saturday.

Possibly a few days of the thread going, so that more people can see it, and post if they are able to make it to something like this on or around that date.

Thank you everyone for suggestions and help... hopefully we can get this all worked out and as many people as possible can come. :)

I live a bazillion miles from anywhere, but dont' mind a bit of a drive. Car pooling could be nice as well.

OK, to those of you who love to do the map thing, just look at all the states involved.

We have MA, CT, NY, NJ. Are there any others?

After we find out all the states, then we need to find out the nearest large cities involved.

Then just pick a place in the middle that is approximately equally distant, and there you have it!

What do you think?
 
Closest city for Me...

any major city in Ct is fine for Me, and also I travel to NY and NJ cause I have subbies there. So I am open. I have only been to MA once, so I am not familiar with the state at all.

My geography and direction senses really sucks....so would someone please tell me where Mystic is? I'm in nyc...so is it far away?
