Naughty & nice season has just passed, and in my household, it's kind of reversed, you know?

State Street Bridge


He spoke of tobacco and old oak.
The ground was wet
and we whispered our names to the willows.
We spoke of the bridge
and those who loved beneath it.
I wrote a poem on a paper sack.
“Cottonwood,” he told me,
“that is the name they gave this town.”
Then the cold came.

We lit a careless fire
kindled by my poetry.
He sang a madrigal to the sky.
I wish they hadn’t taken the bridge away.
So we build our own
and we love beneath it.
 
Don't listen to her, Eve. I love your little, intimate portraits. Make more. Do a hundred of them. I think it would make a really fun little bit of you that people would gladly pay twenty bucks to take home with them.

Honestly, I just realized I'm too full of foolish most of the time. I can't help it. I like it have fun. I'm like a hyper puppy. :eek:

You might get more buyers if you mentioned that you've only walked on the bottoms. :)

I liked unchanged very much. A nice powerful simple, earthy quality to it. The perfect picture for the words.
