Mike Davies
Age: 39
Height: 6 feet
Weight: 155 lbs
Hair: Black, short
Eyes: Grey

Mike Davies drank his whisky slowly. He had no intention of getting drunk. The other peaple at the company party had no such reservations. Mike had his own reason not to drink at the level his associates did. For one thing he was the boss. One another thing was that his agenda did not permit it. The peaple he worked with was seing this party as an opportunity to be blasted for free. That was something Mike didn't object to. It made his task easier.

His eyes was set on Lizzy Morgan. The newest associate in the advertising company he was the boss of. She was in her early thirties and was married to her high school sweetheart. She had been with the company for two months now and was good at what she did. Mike had other plans for her though. He looked at her and saw that she was tipsy but not completely drunk.

He walked over to her and gave her his most charming smile. He placed his hand friendly, low on her back to get her attention.

"Enjoying yourself Lizzy?" He asked and took a sip of his whisky.

Lizzy Morgan
Age: 32
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 125 lbs
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Black
Physical Description: 36-26-34, athletic, well-toned body

Bio: Grew up in a conservative family, and grew up to be a bit of a geek. Loves her work and loves talking about it a lot. It was her ambitious nature with immense creative talent that saw her rise through the ranks in different companies. This new company seemed to be a good offer and she joined recently. She was in the division responsible for creatively executing the ad campaigns, mostly through well-shot video commercials. Her direct boss, David Brown was responsible for showing the ads first to Mike to make sure he was happy with them, and then making the clients happy with the ads.

When I first heard about the company party, I was excited. This was the opprotunity to get in front of the big bosses and impress them with wit. The buzz was all around apparently. Lots of people even came up to me to ask me if I was indeed coming. Iw as somewhat surprised by their expressions when I said yes. Something struck me as wierd, but well, some of these people are anyways too old to understand what partying really is.

The party itself was already proving to be fun. People all around were beginning to make jokes and relax as the drinks began to take over. I, dont drink a lot- i get knocked over too easily. Hell, I was just about half-way through my second drink and was already a bit tipsy. That struck me as wierd too. I cant take too much, but this was too bad even by my low standards. 'No more drinks', I told myself strictly, 'let me not create a scene at my very first party here'.

Just as I was contemplating the matters, I heard someone walk up to me and say "Enjoying yourself Lizzy?". Wow. It was Mike Davies himself.

"Yes absolutely, Mr. Davies. I am; and have enjoyed working here as well in the last two months. Some of the stuff is vey exciting. We just finished shooting a commercial for one of the new car models. Next week we have a Later this week we are shooting a for lingerie, and then for a bath soap. Quite varied challenges, and you know what I am meeting new models all the time as they shoot. Its great"

And the I realized that I might be coming across as a geek. and tried changing the topic

"And then this party. Its really great fun. Drinks are great too."

I realize maybe I am talking too much. I normally dont, and am a reserved person. Its the drinks. And I shut up for a bit, and wait for him to respond.

Mike smiled warmly to Lizzy as she babbled about her job. He knew exactly what she had done and even what she would do in the near future. He emptied his glass of whisky.

"I was sure we didn't make a mistake when hiring you and i see i had it right. You do us all proud."

He notice that the drink she held was almost finished and got a new one from the tray a waiter held as he passed by them. When Lizzy had finished her drink he took the empty glass and handed her the full one.

"I am glad you are enjoying the party. That is why we have them. If none was enjoying them they be of no use." He smile again.

He chatted a little more with her about the job and life at home. When she had finished her drink he smile and take her hand in his. "Now, let's dance." And without wasting time he had her out on the dance floor.

I was glad to know Mike knew about what I was doing. Or at least he seemed to know from what he said. I was getting nervous, and didnt realize as I drank down and finished my drink. I was beginning to feel the drink, and decided I would stop now, but Mike had a new drink for me in his hand right away, and he handed me the new one. Afraid to refuse my big boss, I quietly took it.

He started talking about different things. "I and Doug got married 2 years back." "We dont have any kids right now." "No we dont plan on any yet." "He is in Australia right now for next month for a business trip." I heard myself say in answer to his questions.

Soon I had finished my third drink as well, and was definitely feeling quite drunk. Mike asked me to dance and ithout waiting for an answer (as if I would have said no), we were on the dance floor.

Mike smiled softly when Lizzy didn't struggle at all and just came with him onto the dance floor. The girl was special somehow. He wasn't sure that he could put his finger on it quite yet, but there was something about her. The fact that she was married just made her seem that much more sweet, since it was a fact that should have made her off limits. He chuckled quietly to himself, knowing that the sound would be overpowered by the music, and the other conversations going on at the party. He then turned his attention back to Lizzy once they were on the dance floor. It seemed once they had gotten out onto the floor the last song had ended and a soft and slow song had taken his place. It looked like he was rather lucky after all.

He smiled as he looked at her for a few moments and then spoke again, "Well, Mrs. Morgan. I suppose now that we are out here, we should dance, shouldn't we?"

She was still in awe of him. Mike himself wanted to have a dance with her. When he spoke again, she realized she had been just standing there, thinking over this and looking like a fool.

"uhh...sure. yes. Lets do that. And you can call me Lizzy sir." She said. They started to dance slowly together on the slow music, as Mike put his arm lightly around her waist, and with the other just held her hand. She let him guide her slowly along the dance floor. She saw David Brown, her immediate boss, on the dance floor as well with another girl (his wife, she guessed), and looked at them with a wierd smile. Mike seemed to look at him, and then ignored him. She didnt dwell too much on it though. The drinks and the slow music were making it hard for her to think through things.

Mike smiled softly as Lizzy moved easily in his arms around the dance floor. It really didn't look like she had any objections to any of this so far. He thought about it for a few moments before deciding that he was probably going to have to give her a few more drinks before going any farther than this though. He kept his grip on her hand soft and smiled as they slowly moved around on the dance floor to the music.

He spoke again, "Well, Lizzy, I am just so glad that you are enjoying yourself here." He smiled at her, trying to make her feel more secure, and not act nervously like she had so far. He thought about it for a few moments and then went back to the earlier topic of conversation, "So, what do you think about the car shoot? Has it been good so far?" That seemed to be an area of conversation that Lizzy was very comfortable talking about. It was probably going to be easier to get her relaxed if he stayed on the topic of work at least for a little bit longer.

Mike was really smooth and classy on the dance-floor- his movements calm, and measured. She was beginning to feel like a bumbling idiot, stammering at times when Mike talked to her. But then, she had always known she was not great at making conversations. Not when she was sober anyways and she put it down to her shy nature.

She was happy when Mike took the conversation back to the car shoots and all. "Well it was fun. I think parts of the shoot went off well. There are things that were messy though." Then I paused and considered whether I should go on or not. "The creative director on our team could have done things better though. He didnt plan things well enough. Not the right sort of models for the car shoot. Not the right location. And he wouldnt listen to me as I as 'too new'. And even Dave couldnt do much to make him see logic. I hope he does better with the upcoming shoots"

She then stopped, a bit embarassed, and sorry that she may have created problems for the creative director. "But he is a nice guy. Some of the shots were really good too. I just think some things could have been better."

Mike smiled softly as suddenly Lizzy had opened up and was talking about everything like it was second nature, and then, just as fast as she had opened up she had went back to acting bashful and shy, like she was worried that she was going to be getting someone in trouble. This wouldn't do really. He needed her to calm down and not trip over her words or her feet. He smiled again, trying to be reassuring and then thought over everything else that they could talk about. There were the upcoming projects, such as the bath soap project. That would probably make for easier conversation than the lingerie project would, at least until he had gotten a few more drinks into her. He didn't figure that their dance would last much longer anyway. He'd have her in the mindset that this was a party soon enough.

He looked into her eyes, "So what do you think about the bath soap project? There shouldn't be much of that which ends up being messy, should there?" He joked with her, hoping that he could get her to laugh a bit about his soap and messy joke, "Do you think enough planning is going into that?"

As mike stared into her eyes, she could feel herself melting. His gaze was soft, and eye contact was hard to break for her. She let out a soft laugh at his joke. she said "Well. I dont think so. I think the story writer had a sexy story idea for the video shoot for both the upcoming shoots - lingerie and the soap one. The creative director seems to have mind of his own though. He hasnt planned well enough to audition for the right kind of models again. He is hooked on to getting a 19 year old model for both shoots. And doesnt understand that the people this particular ad series is for attracting women 25-35, maybe 40. He is just not planning well, and will be stuck with no good models at the last minute again."

She was beginning to feel more comfortable talking to him. Mike made her feel safer talking about this. After all, she was giving him her professional opinion.

Mike thought about this and nodded for a few moments, "That does seem like a bit of a problem, especially for the lingerie shoot. It would probably be better to get an older woman and show how you don't need to be 19 in order to look attractive in lingerie." He smiled softly as the music started to end, "Someone a bit younger than the target audience might be a good choice for the soap since it puts out the suggestion that the soap will make you look younger, but you are right, it will be harder to relate to someone in a different age group."

He started to lead her back to where they had been sitting before. The dancing hadn't really worked to get her mind off of business because he had ended up sabotaging that idea to get her relaxed again. It seemed that he was trying to get all of this to progress a bit too far. He sat down on a couch and seemed to be in deep thought over the project, "To be completely honest, I'm not sure that we have the right person in charge of either of those projects." He looked over to her, "When you think about it, what we really need is a woman's perspective on these advertisements." He reached over to take another drink, since they seemed to be going around, and then handed it over to her offering it to her, "Really, I think that a woman should be running those two projects, since the target audience is women...but then again, lingerie might be something that men would be more likely to buy for women, so really the target audience is a bit more diverse than just the people who will be wearing that product."

she followed him over to where they were sitting earlier. She was a bit reluctant in taking the drink he offered. She knew that any more drinks, and she would be outside her drinking limits. But she couldnt refuse him either, and took it. She started to slowly sip it, as she heard him

"I agree with that. As a matter of fact, for both these shoots, I think he is the right man. He has so much experience with these shoots. And for the lingerie one, you are right as well. I just think he doesnt value the woman's perspective that I am trying to bring in for him to account for. I would just think if he used these inputs as well, it would go a long way."

She smiled back at him. She started to feel wierd as she had her drink though. It was stronger than usual, and she was beginning to feel just a tiny bit tipsy. "Tell me somthing else Mike." She then hesitated and said "I may call you Mike right? When did you start this business? I heard you went through a lot of hardships and personal challenges to set it up."

Mike nodded, softly as Lizzy went back into talking. It seemed that she had loosened up quite a bit now. He then looked up when she asked him the question of when he had started. He chuckled softly, "Ah, yes. The starting process." He smiled softly, "I had just graduated with my advertising degree when I tried to start out. It turns out however, that it is much harder to advertise for advertising than it is to actually advertise a product. I ended up spending a year not doing much of anything and then lucking into a few low grade jobs that really didn't help me all that much. I ended up doing the little things you could find in phone books, and that sort of thing, and then finally got a job to do my first commercial." He laughed, "It was horrible. We barely got the thing done, but we did get it done, and I had finally taken my first step into a new world. I got a few more commercials done, and after that business picked up. People started calling me to have me do things and I had to hire people to help me out. Now, ten years later, this is where we are." He smiled softly and looked at her for a few moments, trying to think of the next conversation.

He looked at her and smiled again before speaking, "Now that I think back to that first commercial that I did, I remember how I saved some money by getting some people from the business that had hired me to fill in some acting positions..." He looked over to her, "Lizzy, have you ever thought of doing any modeling?"

She heard him patiently, and chuckled along with him as he talked about things with a funny take. She was sure that he had had a hard time back then, and admired the courage of the man to stick through it all back then. She was abit taken aback when he asked her about modeling She thought it was part of the joke and laughed. "Oh yeah. Only i realized the products wouldnt sell." And laughed at her own little joke. And then she realized he was serious. And looked at him with an incredulous gaze, "Me? Hell, no! Do i look like I could model? I would suck, and all your products would flop" she laughed at the idea. Whatever had given him that idea, she chuckled again.

Mike shrugged, "I was merely putting the idea out there, after all, with you there, I can't imagine you letting them put out something that had you in a bad light, or didn't look good." He then thought about it, "I suppose that we wouldn't want someone too young as our model though, you're right, we'll need someone who is at least 25, so I guess we'll need someone a bit older than you for our model..." He then seemed to go into deep thought again. He wondered if his little attempts to compliment her were doing anything. He knew that since she had a few drinks she would probably be more susceptible to his little compliments, but he had no idea how much effect they would actually have. He also didn't want to get her into an uncomfortable state again where she went back into her shy shell. If that happened it might take a few more drinks to get her loosened up again.

She thought for a bit, and then said "Well. I dont know about being able to make sure what went out. I actually think I just dont look good enough to be one of the models in there."

And as Mike went on, she blushed. Did he really think she was not even 25? Did he not know that she was 32? She decided to make sure that he knew that. "Well. Thanks for the compliment Mike. I dont think age is a problem. I actually am old enough for that. As a matter of fact...well i wouldnt say how many, but am definitely quite older than 25. I am sure you can look up my age in all your official records, can you?"

She seemed to think over it a little bit. "Well. I dont really know Mike. I am sure there are better looking women out there." She quickly picked up another drink for herself and him, and drank it down rather fast this time.

Mike smiled softly as Lizzy talked. It seemed that his compliments had made quite an impact on her, and had a different affect than the one that he had been expecting. It had seemed that she had either gotten nervous and was a nervous drinker. It was either that or she had finally opened up to the idea that this was indeed a party and had decided to enjoy it. He took the drink that she had offered to him and held it in his hands, for a moment before bringing it to his lips and taking a few sips. He spoke up once she had finished her drink, "I really do think that you would fit in quite well in and of these 'sexy ideas' that are going around for the project." He smiled to her and took another sip from his drink, "Of course if you would rather not be the model, that is completely up to you, I was merely putting the idea out there, since you have already expressed concern that you might find yourself without a model once again."

He smiled softly, looking down at his drink. He had just run out of conversation about work that he could bring up. He could always go back to talking about the projects but he wasn't sure what else he could really say about them. He had thought that there would be more to talk about than all of this. He wondered for a moment if he should invite her to somewhere more private at this point, making a comment about the level of noise or something like that. It might work, but it could also be something that would make her even more nervous. He would have made more smalltalk about her life, but really it seemed that they had covered a lot of what was her her life outside of work at the beginning of the evening.

She was beginning to get a bit drunk now. She had always had a tendency to drink more to losen up once she had had a drink too many. And she had already had more than her usual. She looked around and then reached over for another drink. She started sipping really slowly this time, worried she might get too drunk too soon.

She then looked back at Mike "I will think about the offer. I promise we wont work with a bad model. The only problem I have is that some of these ads are for some 'liberal audiences' and are too sexy for me. I dont think I will look good exposing my body. But if we dont find any models, and if you really believe that I might fit in, I will do it. I wont let the shoots get screwed up for the lack of good models - that is a promise."

Mike nodded slowly, taking another sip from his drink, "You are a valuable member of the team Lizzy. I just want to be sure that you recognize that." He smiled and looked at her, "You are an attractive woman and you have the knowledge to know what you are selling and who you are selling it to. Those are very good traits to have when you are an advertiser. I think you will go far in this business." He smiled softy as he looked at her for a few more minutes, trying to think of what would be next. It looked like she had slowed down on her drinking again, though he wasn't sure he could really complain about that. "Was there anything else that you wanted to talk about in regards to business?"

She looked at him. She was feeling more confident now that it looked like Mike valued her opinion. She looked on now though waiting for him to say something else. She shrugged her shoulders and said "Not really. Anyways I dont think we should spoil the party fun anymore by keeping up with business talk. We will have a lot of time for that. I had heard Mike Davis is a party freak and throws wild parties. I havent quite seen that side of things here tonight." She said. And then kicked herself inwardly. There. She had done it. She had to open her mouth to say stupidest of things at worst of times. She was sure if she kept up at this rate, she wouldnt have a job by next morning.

She looked ruefully at her drink, knowing she would never have said what she just did had she not been drunk.

Mike chuckled softly to himself, "It's alright Lizzy. I haven't been participating much in the actual sport of partying tonight, because in order for it to be a real party, everyone needs to be enjoying themselves. You seemed to be very quiet and reserved, and I needed you to open up before you became one withe party." He smiled softly to her and then pushed himself up, offering her a hand, "So...what do you think we should do now that we are both in the mood for a little bit of partying?"

She chuckled a bit. So Mike had not been involved in the party for her. She was surprised as well as felt great about it. She looked on as he offered her his hand. She put her hand into his and got up.

"Well. Lets party then. I am sorry I came across as such a bore to begin with. I havent been to parties in a while now. Show me. What are the wild Mike Davies parties like?"

Mike laughed as he thought about her request, "Ah...wild parties, eh?" He thought about this for a few moments, wondering what exactly he was going to do, and where exactly this rumor had come from. He looked over to her for a moment again and shrugged, "Usually there is more dancing, but not very much in the slowdance variety. Are you sure you want to try dancing again?" He chuckled softly.

She looked on as he looked thoughtful for a bit. When he offered dancing again, she said okay. She was usually good on the dancefloor. When she was not nervous that is. And the few drinks she had had helped make her feel more relaxed. "Oay. Lets dance" she said. She followed him as he led her back onto the dance-floor. She was beginning to get convinced that a lot of 'stories' she had heard about Mike were probably just bad rumors.
