you have been warned

I am going into the eye doctors tomorrow morning for a procedure. It is scheduled to take place at 11:15 a.m. -

I cannot have any coffee or tea in the morning.

As always, I will wake up at about 6:00 a.m. -
I will, as always, sign on here to see what has been posted while I slept.

PLEASE PAY NO ATTENTION TO ANYTHING I POST OVER THE NEXT 16 HOURS

I just accompanied my mom to have cataracts removed from both eyes. She did well, as I'm sure you will too! No general anesthesia, just some numbing drops in the eye, and some nice Versed from the anesthesiologist. Like drinking an entire bottle of wine by yourself, he describes the Versed.

The procedure itself takes about 15 minutes. No discomfort or pain, but you do get those stylish glasses to wear for a few days. Then just a lot of drops for a few weeks, but the payoff is tremendous. The next day, she could already see much better, and her vision is still improving.

I'm sure you'll do well, too. Just think of all the neat things in the hospital you can amuse yourself with!

No.

But I'm not going to be surrpised if we don't get any updates for a while. I mean his appt was 11:30, his time. That was about two hours ago, right? So lets say the procedure takes an hour, including prep and everything. That means he's only been done for an hour. You've got drive time, which can be anywhere from 5 minutes to over an hour. He'll probably just lay down and nap when he gets home, assuming he comes home tonight. Also is there recovery time?

Either way, it could be awhile befor he has a chance to get online. *sigh*
