The Chosen OOC thread

ok, seems we need this.

If you have questions on something, please let me know in here or we can work out some of the Q's together.

A few things I've seen questioned or unsure about-

Guardian Vampires do have sun issues.
However, if they keep their skin covered from sunlight, they CAN handle daytime for a little while... though a bad thunderstorm's black clouds makes their wanderings much easier.

The Brotherhood has immortals in its ranks as well; they're related to angels. "The List" is a tracking of Chosen children that have been confirmed. Brotherhood members hunt them down to either destroy or capture for information.


Most things, as long as it makes sense for others to follow, I'm pretty open to ideas on. If you have questions about something fitting in, feel free to ask me and we'll see what we can do.

Oh, we could also use some more vampires and Brotherhood people if anyone else was interested in joining.

Ooo Ooo I have a question! Do the chosen need blood to survive without becoming a full vampire?

Nope, Chosens don't need blood until they get the bite waking that side up.
They might start noticing arteries and such, but don't actually have an urge to go after it.

I was just wondering what types of abilities the Chosen have? I mean are they mostly mortal just becoming a bit stronger at nightfall... or do they take on full traits of vampires?

They can use their vampire blood's strength, agility, and senses at night.
However, they don't gain full vampire traits until they get a bite from an older vampire.

(OOC: The player of Bart agreed to this in PM's so I am submitting it here for final approval)

Name: Lila McKenna

Age: 218 (Chronologically) Mid/late 20's physically

Occupation: Owner of a small import/export company specializing in Irish(Celtic) antiques, weapons and jewelry.

Status: Guardian assigned to Bart Harker

Bio: Lillian Victoria Marie McKenna was given in name all that she would never have in life. Her mother felt at the very least the child could have a name that inspired some pride even if she was fated to live in squalor.

Lila never bemoaned her fate as she never knew there could be a different life. Poor food, poor housing and no education left her unhealthy and uneducated but not useless. She was strong in will as most tend to be when blindly faithful. Her devotion to the church would be shaken however when her clansmen were slowly dying out. Her entire extended family wasted away under some dire omen of disease. No amount of prayer or sacrifice seemed to appease God in his undeserved wrath.

Ravaged by disease, plagued with new doubt in her formerly unshakable faith, Lila was easy prey to be seduced into the haven of the vampire who was feeding on her people. She was pretty enough for a common whelp, spirited if nearly broken. She rebelled when her new master showed her the reality of her beliefs. There was no God, at least not one who cared about her anymore.

He became her God, and for nearly a century she was the perfect servant. School, groomed and educated in all manners of pleasure from the carnal to the cerebral. She became his companion, and his demise. Once educated she saw the creature for what he was, vile and despicable even for her own kind. Though he did not die by her hand, he surely died by her omission to act. Such is the secret she bears that may one day end her life.

As part of the course of maturing Lila, her name as given upon 'rebirth', was given her own charge to look after. A young man with such promise, a man child born of those who would destroy them or save them. Pivotal placement, one she had always wondered on. Was she the best choice? Or was her secret known and this was a way to lead to her eventual demise?

In any case Lila has haunted young Harkers life, appearing now and then, pushing him in the right direction, urging him..being his silent benefactress until the time arrives for his awakening.

Eva's parents were killed by vampires when she was 7 years old. Since then, she has been living with the Brotherhood, training and learning the ways to destroy the Vampires, as well as their human children.
Newly arriving Brothers make the mistake of harassing her for being one of the few women in the church... a mistake not soon forgotten. Her sword, as well as her guns' bullets, are forged from blessed silver.

the way I understand it, Gabe and Lucy split off from you and Vince. As far as I know you're still with him. We can always go back and edit if things are confusing.

Yeah, I had thought Vince's las tpost had you two heading off one way, then Gabe and I headed off another.
