Thats a great achievement of Floyd, 3 days ago nobody thought he would be able to come back after a terrible 2nd day in the Alps,

And today gaining over 1'38'' over the then yellow jersey, making him lead the Tour by 59 seconds!

What a great (hopefully) winner he will be tomorrow succeeding Lance Armstrong in paris, the americans have taken to the Tour de France as a duck to water!

Nice one Floyd!!

Laurent

Would have thought that Americans would be a little more patriotic and encourage, support and be proud of a rider that is competing in the toughest sports event in the world!!

Maybe everybody is still asleep????????????

I didn't know this guy played in the British Open?

Learn something new every day.

Sir, it is called The Open Golf Championship, not the British Open
as it was the first
even your Tiger Woods refers to it as The Open

Ant you should be proud of Landis, he has done superbly well.

We are very happy and proud him but it's still not over. :)

The last day of the tour is a formality, the yellow jersey will cross the line with the main group, aka the peleton
The Tour is Landis`s, trust me on that

Yeah, I was just watching. After Wednesday's stage, I thought Landis was completely out of the running. Floyd's ride in stage 17 will be talked about for years and today he did exactly what he had to do to reclaim the yellow jersey. Barring the unthinkable, tomorrow will be an exciting day in Paris.

AFter Thutsday`s mountage stage, no one can say he is not a worthy winner
this guy earned it, the hard way

Kickass comeback by Landis!

Tomorrow's the final stage into Paris, right? I understood it's bad form to race on the final day & more of a parade -is that so? Race over?

A few will break away when the start the laps in Paris, none of them contenders
the peleton will catch them
and Floyd Landis will wear the Yellow Jersey, and be the winner for 2006
Absolutely certain on that

Sex toys. Cycling needs sex toys. It made me a rabid soccer fan.

Europe's worst fear: Americans excelling in one of "their" sports. It was bad enough when Lemond won a few times, and when Armstrong started his string the French absolutely shit all over themselves trying to figure out a way to prove the cancer survivor was cheating.
Armstrong has retired, many of the best cyclists this year have been cheating and have been banned, and now another American is on the cusp of winning an event most other Americans don't care about except for maybe three weeks a year.
When the day comes that the U.S. wins the World Cup, the Continent will slide into the ocean.

Yes it is His to win and keep, unless there is rain tomorrow and has a fall, it happened before when Laurent Fignon lost to Greg Lemond many years ago in Paris on the last day, in the 80's, that was a very sad day for Fignon, but as they say, it is not over until the fat Lady sings!

Tomorrow is a day for the sprintners, I put my money on O'Grady!

The open on bicycles, be interesting to watch, well, can imaging Tiger going for an eagle on a bicycle under the rain, lol, well thunder storms are breaking uot everywhere over here and some are quiet forceful.

'Dat's what I wanted to hear!

Well I think we are quiet safe for a few years until the americans win the world cup, soccer not getting so much as basket ball or american football, and oh yes, then they call it the World series, Ha Ha Ha, no one else plays it, makes me laugh!!

But Lemond and Armstrong are and were2 superbes athletes, just Hinault, Merckx, Anquetil and many others, its better for the sport if its not always the same nation winning, well except for american football, just like the world cup, 4 european teams and the semis, hadn't happened for a long time because normally you can count on Brasil Argentine or Mexico, well not this year, and the biggest cheater in the world win it, Italians, lol!!!!

Yes he did. Coming back from 8+ minutes down was an amazing feat. Floyd is most definitely a worthy successor to what's-his-name. ;)

Everyone around here is very excited. Floyd's parents live about 20 minutes from here.

There are signs up everywhere around my area saying "Go Floyd"
