An unique idea...

Okay, so this is the Story Ideas board. A place where we come when we want to offer up an idea we'd love to see in a story, to cure some writer's block by reading what others suggest for a story, or to brainstorm with others on an idea we like but are not quite sure how to develop yet.

I know we have an "Author's sign in here" thread that is stickied to the top of the page, but come on, how many people really still read that thread? I would like to know how many "active" (as in posting) real Lit authors we have on this board.

I would like to purpose a lil' writer's challenge for all who are interested. Obviously this is not an "official" Lit contest since I am not employed by this site. There is no prize to be won. No real deadline, other than let's say end of summer? (So we're not interfering with the *real* Lit contests that will come up!)

I would like anyone who is interested to offer up a list of hard limits. (Things they will not write about no matter what.) We will then develop a basic plot (it can be something in a previous thread on this board, or something new) line based on what we all agree we can/will write about. IE: incest, BDSM, or whatever...

Please reply only if you're interested in writing this tale, authors.

My hard limits list:
  • Scat - Fetish
  • Vomit/"Rainbow showers" - Fetish
  • Snuff

I'm interested, I'm just not sure what exactly it is you're proposing. Can you do a little clarification for those of us whose brains are working a little slow today?

Yeah, I have to admit I don't exactly get it, either. Are you proposing that we all agree on a plot, and then have every writer try to write a story with that plot? Or something more collaborative?

Well, this idea of mine came from a couple posts I made in another thread about how "we'd still have different tales even if we all took on the same story idea". (See post here.)

I want us to agree on a plot/idea that we feel we can and will write about. Examples I gave earlier were incest and BDSM. (And this is why I want interested authors to tell us all what your hard limits are, so we don't agree to write a "gay male" story and leave someone out who won't write such a tale.)

This is a "casual" project. Not something we need done by next month or whatever. I don't want to take away from people who do compete in the Holiday Contests. (Earth Day starts on March 25th! And then we have "How To" and "National Nude Day".)

As a whole, anyone who is interested in this idea can help brainstorm the details. (Plot/Lit category, when our deadline is, and so on.) If nothing more, this unofficial contest will aid those who are in the year long Survivor Contest by giving them another story. :)

BINGO! :D

No chain. This goes from my "if 10 different authors all wrote a story based on ONE idea we'd still have 10 different stories" theory. :)

My hard limits list:

Female Shoe Shopping
A Bra that cannot be removed (even with Laser Surgery)

A horror tale in the making...

"A horror tale in the making" is a hard limit too, or you were stating that the above list would be a horror tale in the making? :)

Okay, I'm in for sure, then. :)

Hard limits: No scat. No vomit. No "baby" fetish (Adults pretending to be infants - it just creeps me out).

Also, I have to say that crossdressing is somewhat of a turn-off for me, so I'd rather it wasn't along those lines.

So it sounds like we have 3 of us, maybe 4 if Fog joins in. I figure we'll give this until the end of the week (or next Monday) to allow others to read the thread. Of course, since this isn't an "official" contest with a prize it will remain open to any author who wants to join. :)

We'll try to keep this thread "on topic" all of the time, though. Only posts from authors saying they want to join, them telling us their limits, and then us all brainstorming on what theme we should write about.

I'm totally fine with it if we use an idea that is already posted on another thread. (Hell, maybe we'll get many new requester's stories done this way! ;))

Is this open to someone who's never published a story here? I'd love to try this - I actually do write quite a bit.

My limits:
Scat
Snuff
Outright rape
Frog worshipping

OK, maybe frog worshipping isn't a "hard" limit!

I'm not Eve, but I'm guessing that you're more than welcome. :)

Yes, it is. :)

Only rule about writing is you have to post your story to the site! :) (No long "thread stories". Personally, I think they're annoying when you read a 1,000 word or more "story" within the bulletin board! And, I think they are technically a "violation" of the site's rules when you do it? Not positive on that, though.)

On a side note, it would be nice of the authors to post a link back to this thread if/when a tale on this theme is posted! :D

Thanks!

Thanks for approving my participation. It will actually be the kick in the ass I need to publish something here! :)

how do you feel about plushies???

I may havehard limits, but I'm afraid to find them. Everytime I think I know what they are, I go past. Anything within Lit rules, I'll try...

though I have a hard time reading nonconsent, so might not be able to write it.

I'm in.

Doesn't creep me out in the same way that the baby thing does. But I'd certainly have a hard time writing about that as well.

Welcome Daddy. :D I thought Gay Male was a category you wouldn't write either?

On AOL, there were writing boards where you were given a one or several word THEME, i.e. Truth. We would have limits on the amount of words to be used, but all stories had to have some sort of TRUTH theme, or whatever the word/phrase was. Plots were varied, genres were varied as well.

Using the same plot could be interesting, but it would get a little difficult for everyone involved to agree. Perhaps someone come up with a word for a weekly story, then someone else the next week, etc.

I don't know, just a thought

Anybody mind another joiner?
I figure if Bi, Sir and Hallowed are all here it should improve my street cred just to be seen around them. Wow I'm good at shameless adoration.

Anyway on subject hard limits: Scat <~~ EWWWW need I say more?
Aside from that hell I'm all about pushing limits and seeing what I can get away with.

What is a rainbow shower however, forgive the youngin for not being well versed in Pervertese.

Well, somehow I doubt this will be a weekly thing. I'm not thinking of writing "thread stories" like they do on Author's Hangout. I'm talking stories 750 words or more that are actually submitted to the site.

There's a lot of ideas/requests from people in this board. I think the authors interested could agree on a theme. (Most of the "ideas" are more of a general theme then a well thought out plot.)

Maybe, if this proves popular enough, we'll do it again with a new theme. :)

Of course anyone can join, silly. We've stated that before. ;)

Awwww... Aren't you good at bullshitting! :p lol

Rainbow showers is the "erotic" puking on another person.

P.S.
How young are you? ;)

True enough. Probably better to agree on a plot. I've never received story ideas personally from any other author, mostly from readers. But you can count me in on this...
