My first literotica thread-how the hell do I do this? Ok-here goes
For some time now I’ve been trying to find some motivation to lose weight. So far it’s eluded me so it’s time to try something new. So I’ve decided to start a weight loss diary in a public forum so others can send me encouragement, or more likely abuse. Currently I’m about 110 kg (242 pounds). My goal is 80 kg (176 pounds) It wont be easy for me-a junk food junky and compulsive eater to do this but it’s getting out of hand. So sit back and watch the obese wombat as he huffs and puffs his way to a slimmer and fitter figure!

Most people trying to lose weight diet or exercise or both-I've decided to start by butchering a song. So to the tune of "Copacabana " with massive apologies to Barry Manilow here goes:

Went to the doctor for a full check up
And he said to me “Wombat
You are getting really fat”
So I said “Doctor. How did this happen?”
He said “ I’ll give it to you straight
It’s from all the food you ate
Chips, chocolate and doughnuts will all increase your guts
You have to give up all the junk food
I bet it drives you nuts!”

So now I’m changing my eating habits
And I’m hoping I will soon lose my tits
I’m also cutting down on my junk food
I’m healthy inside, now my food is not fried
I will be skinny!....well maybe not

But I went further. Joined a gymnasium.
But I found push ups and leg curls
Are more fun done with a girl
So now I’m hoping for some results soon
Count my toes from one to ten
And see my penis once again
My lunch is cheaper now, I have cut back and how!
When I feel like a bit of steak
I don’t eat half the cow!

If I put as much effort into losing weight as I did into this post I'll be thin by easter!

Been trying to lose weight for 5 minutes now-and no damn change! this could be harder than i thought!

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and all that. Bon voyage! Hope to average a pound a week, and you'll get there eventually.

DUUUUUUDE!! I feel for ya.... I have gained like 20 lbs this year alone......

I don't care what anyone says, the key is getting back into the weight room... Put on muscle while it naturally burns fat.
 
Good luck. And I agree with huskie, exercise is the key - plus, it makes you feel better. :)
 
Two years ago

I lost 20 kg. I used low carb (South Beach), but to maintain, I basically cut out pizza and beer, and whenever I used to grab a sandwich, I get a salad.

I also had to pump up aerobic exercise. I've read stuff that agrees with Huskie about lifting weights, but I'm too lazy.

I'd sign up. I've got a great routine in mind right now.

I imagine it would certainly be a lot more fun than working out.

Thanks husky-this years been bad for me as well weightwise. been alot going on in life and when i'm down-i eat!
I will be hitting the weights-i joined the locan gym about 4 months ago and have been 3 times-waste of money there so i better start using it!

Havent actually thought about aerobics-not a bad idea. Pizza I can cut out easily enough and I dont drink beer at all-which makes it harder to explain my gut! I'm leaning towards salad sandwiches as well-I've always liked them but like donuts more unfortunately. And I willl definately be keeping an eye on bisexplicit's av!

Two weeks ago I decided to start running a mile everyday after work. It's turned into me running 100 feet, almost having a heart attack, and saying, "fuck this!"

I have trouble running to the letterbox-a distance of about 50 feet! hopefully it gets better

I have to walk 2 miles (roundtrip) just to get downtown and back everyday. I'm worried cuz all I've got going for me is the muscle I put on in highschool and college and I'm losing weight fast cuz I have the opposite kind of poor eating habits.....6'4" and 220 is where I am, and where I would ideally stay.

I'm 6'1 and aiming for about 175 to 180 which is about where my doctor says I should be
 
Good point, I actually have to start running (my least favorite workout activity) cuz I've been pestering my friends to play soccer with me for months, and our first game is the 19th.....I have zero wind.
