I think you need to flesh out the characters a bit, and be a tad more descriptive.

Yeah, the fucker said it. Not immediately, but later on. And the stupid girl actually fell for it, she was messed up that bad by it. To this day, I don't understand why my uncle didn't shoot that boy.
