I've been playing around with the microwave.

I didn't do that for the year and a half or so I had only countertop appliances, from now that I've had a full kitchen for what to maybe even 3 years, suddenly I am ignoring my four burner stove. I do hate this stove. It's a glass top induction. Just because you *can* invent and manufacture something, doesn't mean you *should*

I took a Pyrex bowl, diced onions and a pat of butter and nuked it.

Then I took a small, red potato(e) and nuked it on the baked potato setting for about 1/2 the time. Diced that with some sweet, red pepper, and a link of Italian sausage.

Sprinkled on Paprika. I'm trying to learn to care about Paprika. It's just color to me, but that's something. Maybe I need better Paprika.

Cracked an egg over that, and covered the whole thing in Colby/Cheddar/Quesodilla/Asiago.

Hit the potato button again fir no particular reason, and walked away for a while. I meant to check.on it, but I did not.

Came out nice. Sort of chewy in places from overcooking, but that's like the corner bit of the lasagna.

Probably would have been better on the terrible stove, but it was fun to try, and very edible.

I like my breakfasts edible.

Well how about that!?

Small world.

I was actually thinking that if I had any leftover salsa from one of the local Mexican places I would have drizzled that on top. I cleaned out the refrigerator the other day though and I cleaned out all of the various salsa cups of (at this point) questionable provenance as well as my homemade salsa which had made it to the back of the fridge which was a little iffy.

I don't eat breakfast. I'm doing intermittent fasting. It sucks, but I don't really get hungry anymore. Maybe hangry. But not hungry.

Had a couple 💑 of hard fried eggs with a slice of American cheese and made a sandwich.

Set I like the idea and the science behind intermittent fasting but I can't seem to ever do it. All I do is either Grey's or forget to eat for a while. That's not really fasting.

There's not a very good schedule for these things for me. I tend to sleep in a couple of 4-hour blocks. When I wake up, I tend to have a snack. It isn't that I'm particularly hungry when I'm working but I'm probably mildly hypoglycemic, and it's better if I have some consistent calories. I'm more prone to errors when I am calorie low.

I didn't either until I started working from home. It used to be just a banana and a cup of granola. Now I'm cooking feasts

I like my eggs over easy and I will sometimes make them into sandwiches just like that but since mine are over easy it becomes a dripping down your elbow sort of mess. I eat my fried egg sandwiches over the sink.

Nothing is changed for me but I wonder about all those people working for a home. I would think less activity in more access to the fridge can't be a good combination.

On the other hand, with plenty of time on your hands it's probably easier to avoid prepackaged processed things and cook things from scratch. My general bias is anything cooked from scratch is probably better than health food prepackaged.

Totally agree. I started to put on a few fat pounds and once I noticed, I went for the more "natural" route. It is difficult but I still run and workout so I haven't ballooned just yet.

Was it one of those, "I've gotcher breakfast burrito right here!" sorta deals, or an actual, huevo y chorizo burrito?

My perfect breakfast burrito is:

chorizo, egg, beans, rice, cheese with pico on the side.

Same, but generally I just eat breakfast at lunch and lunch at dinner. Or just one meal if it's a lot. I haven't had any hanger problems, but I think that's from the keto.

I've been eating chocolate chia seed pudding and "granola", which I make but it's with nuts and seeds instead of grains.

It's now actual breakfast time as I get up to go about my "day" but I usually eat dinner now and breakfast at the end of my day.

Odd how I ignore everything else in a normal schedule but eat breakfast on a standard, chronological schedule.

Boiled a small portion of macaroni, added a couple of eye-talian sausages amd topped with the marina the sausages simmered for hours in the other day. Topped with Mexican cheese blend.

I've been doing intermittent fasting the past three years or so. I love it. But, you're the first 'other' IFer I've run into. Most people think I'm cracked when I tell them I haven't eaten all day. Good on you . . .

Coffee and a single toast.

I will never understand peoole who can eat a hearty breakfast, let alone take the time to cook it.

Left over spaghetti with meat sauce with a couple over EZ fried eggs plopped on top. Yum , my favorite breakfast.

I snacked on homemade spicy jerky and red bell pepper rings. I got some marinara sauce leftover maybe I'll have spaghetti but delete the eggs. Sounds okay it's just more work than I feel like at the moment.

I rotate six different breakfasts.

Two eggs up, bacon, grits/hash browns, toast, coffee

Two eggs up, pancakes, bacon, coffee

You are basically running your own IHOP.

Do you cycle through them, or simply whatever strikes your fancy that day?
