Here is a another question for Dom/mes and subs alike. I would appreciate it if submissives speak from their own point of view, and dominants give their perspective on the submissives that have encountered (past or present).

Do you consider your self to be a masochist, a person who like pain for its own sake, or a submissive, who enjoys pain because it becomes pleasure?

hmmm well let's see..

I dont tolerate the "pain' of verbal abuse very well at all as is evident in my posts ,however I feel I am a submissive with masochistic tendencies as I love receiving pain from Master as in only spankings so far mmm but I haver a very "High" pain threshold also.. pain=pleasure bigtime to this sub!! ty for the thread Miss Eb..
 
Hmmmmm...

i seem to fall into both categories. Through a duration of a scene, the pain takes me to a place where it becomes pleasure. It is almost as if (pardon my bluntness) She is fucking me with Her whip. Each blow becomes a thrust in my mind. Each slap, pinch, each drop of hot wax, each clothespin manifests itself as sexual. Not at first, but as the scene goes on.

However, every morning, i get five swift, firm spanks to my balls with a hairbrush which seems to be pain for pain's sake.

But i don't consider myself a pain slut. ;-)
 
i like pain - in a sexual atmosphere - for it's own sake. it is/does become pleasure for me though... so i'm not sure how to respond.
my first experiance with S&M was me on the buisness end of a bullwhip. i wanted more from the first stroke across my ass.
 
Actually, I really like bits of pain, but could take or leave more intense pain. I like to satisfy her need to be sadistic. So my ability to take pain is in related to the pleasure she gets administering it and her appreciation of me. Or at least it used to be, when I got to play that way. It's about approval, I guess.

Hmm, that's a toughy Monster.

Let's look at it. If your ability to take pain is in direct relation to her administration of it, with the result being pain becomes pleasure, perhaps that places you in the submissive category.

This is my reasoning, if you were a masochist, you would like/crave the pain regardless of her need to be sadistic.

Does that make sense? It is an intriguing thought. Thanks for your great post.

I feel exactly the same as your sub, Eb. The pain My-Sir administers to me is sheer pleasure. That's not to say it doesn't hurt at the start, it sorely [;) ] does. But as the scene progresses, I go ito "sub space" and the pain becomes such extreme pleasure that MY-Sir has been concerned HE will hurt me. When this happens, I reassure HIM that if the pain got too intense for me to handle, I would use a safe word.

I admit to be something of a sadist. So, I need something of a masochist as a submissive.
I know I've said this before but, there is NOTHING more pleasurable for me than to have a submissive across my lap. I am going to spank her ass until it's hot to my touch and then caress her gently.
Same goes for hot and cold. A parafin candle being dripped on her breasts and then when she's used to the heat...an ice cube in the same spot.

pain in a sexual situation has always equaled pleasure for me, from the outset. i need the pain, to feel satisfied....even in my past 'nilla relationships... so, i'm sorry Eb, i don't know which one is me :( am i a masochist, or a submissive woman, who enjoys pain?
