Why do we pursue the milestones?
Not only 30, 100, 500, 1000, but in between, and beyond?
What drives us not only to obsess about Lit, but about compiling numbers of posts?

This thread is dedicated to discussing the " why?" our Lit addiction, and, of course , to being a posting slut, so post often. Keep it short, but keep the conversation going , please ( not just " this is Post 699").

you know i did not really care to much how many posts i had i was excited to get to 100 for av, but now i don't really pay much attention to mine i do not even no what i will get next for how many posts, just like ytalking and meeting all the lit community.

someone told me I got a 3% raise at work for every 500 posts

I agree especially when there is alot of fun and bantering going on. Then someone points out that you are close to a milestone! Then you solicit help from your friends to take you over the top and before long you've come a long way baby!

Silent sluts.

Certainly got a point Sirhugs. I'm fairly knew to this yet its clear that there are a number of members who make vast numbers of post but say sod all! The same people all over the place with those little one liners. Never mind eh? Small things....

I don't really care about the number of posts that I have. If I have something to say or add or someone to respond to I will post a reply. I just a slut who posts.

Friends have pointed out the totals for me....left all the milestones in "Momma's Kitchen"....I guess it's cool, but I think I just talk too much....and I've only been around a couple of months, too....must be a slut!!!!

You whores are already on page 2, and it's a school day, too. Most of my posts are several lines, and I try to say something pertinent, if not witty....and I never use a "smilie" and push "submit"...hasn't happened....not like I'm a typist, either....
