Female-Led Relationships

The Prince Harry/Meghan Markle situation is an example of a female lead relationship, or at least that's how it appears. Harry is looking like a complete lame soyboy in virtually every photo and public appearance they do. There seems to be a media agenda to put Meghan at the forefront with Harry always seeming the sidekick, turning the traditional saying "behind-every-successful-man-is-a-woman" on it's head.

I can certainly see that appearance.

Although it highlights an interesting consideration. In my view, the stronger the leader is the less they need to prove it. And being domineering or bossy isn't necessarily leadership. I tend to associate women like that with the inclination to be pushy and selfish to get what they want and make other people do what they want. Forcing others to do what you want is what a prison guard does. That isn't leadership. I am not saying that is what Meghan is doing, but it looks to me more like that than it does any kind of leadership.

This.... this is so very true!
And it also raises a different point, as this argument works also the other way around. I took a little issue with describing the prince as a lame soyboy. Now I am not much of a royalty watcher, so I really wouldn't know how he looks in the pictures. But I do not think that in a female led relationship the man must behave or look like a pushover... one can take a following and even serving role without seeming, or being weak... one might even say it takes strenght to follow, be a steady and helpfull presence.

Love,

Thom

It does take strength to follow....arguably more than it takes to be bossy and demanding. We tend to make connections between leadership and aggression or being a follower and being passiveness which aren't necessarily valid. The world is built on the strength of sturdy followers.

Another quick bump...

I only watched a few episodes of Star Trek Enterprise originally... I don't know exactly why, as it had the same show runners as the previous contemporary series which I enjoyed.

However Netflix has come to the rescue. I've watched the first season, and I... Really enjoy it! It's not just the familiar formula which appeals to me, but moreover the character of T-Pol who has captivated me.

She is very masterful, and granted being a Vulcan, very matter of fact. But She always has the Captain and crews' best interests at heart (in this series the humans have a massive distrust of Vulcans), and will always endeavour to do well by them. Especially as She knows they trust Her. This echos a Dominant Woman's authority, and grace... And I think I'm in ...

Many parts of a daily female led D/s relationship are either barely sexual or not sexual at all. He is tasked with many things that a dominant man would do like being a perfect gentleman. Opening doors for her, taking care of the house and seeing to her when she’s sick or needs to be comforted. Chores like cooking or other housework and being put in his place with tasks such as serving her meals, bathing and pampering her can be part of a female led relationship. I guess it depends on the dynamic between the two. What is considered a submissive task and what isn’t?

Hey sweettalk4u... I'd suggest being a gentleman is a state of mind, irrespective of whether a man is dominant or submissive, with all due respect.

Honouring, and respecting a Female Leader, is inherently the right thing to do from my POV, so much of what you say makes sense to me. But trying to ascertain what's a submissive task and what is not is beside the point. Your sole purpose as a submissive is to fulfill Her indulgences (whatever form they take). Some are spoken, and others are expected. And trust She knows you well enough to Lead you in a way that's conducive for your FLR...

I hope that helps...

Correct. Anything my submissive does at my behest is a submissive task. Whether it is in response to a direct order or the broader parameters that I have set for him to obey. It is the fact that he is acting in accordance with my commands, not the nature of the task itself that makes it submissive.

This is critical understanding for a submissive. He should not seek to assess what is or isn't submissive. He should seek to understand his mistress's commands and obey.

Thank you policywank... I hope sweettalk4u reads your beautiful post, and finds it as rewarding as I have...:rose:

This is a different kind of bump... More the type that goes bump in the night...

The Addams Family is a fictional family created by American cartoonist Charles Addams in 1938.

Since then, The Addams Family has graced many different mediums... With every iteration Morticia and Gomez' FLR remains consistent. He is always courteous, and attentive to Morticia. And their love for one another knows no bounds...

LOVE this example...could explain why I've always enjoyed the portrayal :rose:

It is nice to see the FLR as an accepted thing in mainstream entertainment and portrayed in a positive way.

I agree. It is not for everyone, but i like the idea. What I like about the idea of Gomez and Morticia, is that Gomez was a strong successful man. He devoted himself to Morticia because he wanted to, he worshiped her. Not because she brow beat him to it. that is a wonderful relationship. My husband is very masculine and an alpha, but very tender man as well. He is the man of the house. But as we all know, there is a lot of truth to the statement, "I have the pussy, I make the rules." So I know (we both know) that I run the house, but I let him be the man. But i love the idea that my husband worships me.

My wife and I not only love the Addams family (we watch it almost every night on MeTV) but it’s a lot like our relationship. I’m not so much the debonair Gomez, but more of the train blowing up Gomez and I am bald like uncle fester.

My wife looks more like Morticias sister, Ophelia, but she loves Gomez’ unbridled passion for her (“Tish, that’s French!”) and loves how he passionately worships her. I worship my wife in much the same way.

Catherine Jones was so fucking hot!!

One of my favorite shows and a decent example of FLR.

I sincerely believe that women are superior to men. On the evolutionary order, we men have emerged as merely accessories to the female sex. The essential component to the survival of a a species is its ability to procreate and replicate itself and in this regard women are fundamental. A woman's body is at once a gestation and incubation chamber below the waist and a food factory above it while. remaining functionally beautiful. Men serve to provide genetic variety, We men are offshoots of women; witness men's non functional nipples. We need them whereas they don't need us. Parthenogenesis is biologically possible. My wife dominates our union both sexually and operationally.

Only two sentences make sense. One is fact. The other is opinion. Everything other than those two doesn't makes less sense than washing a car while it's raining

I’m actually reading this thread caged because I am privileged to be led by a female of which I’m grateful for the experience
