Fiona was absolutely ecstatic about tonight’s events. She and Aidan had been scheming since day one about turning the boring family get together into something much more fun. The two of them were much closer than most siblings were considered. Ever since they were children the two of them were practically inseparable. They even shared their mother’s womb together! Yes, Fiona was only one in a set of twins, Aidan being literally her other half. From the very start, the two had been closer than close. They shared bottles, pacifiers, toys, and diapers. Ok, maybe not diapers but they shared just about everything else. There were fights every now and then, there was no avoiding it, but for the most part they got along perfect. That meant trouble for their parents though. Troublemakers at heart, Aidan and Fiona were constantly into anything and everything.
Being the eldest, Fiona had always been the wilder of the two. She had been ever since she could remember. Her mother hated her for it too. Growing up in an upper crust Irish family, she wanted her only daughter to be a proper young lady. Fiona was meant to be nothing but a quiet girl with brilliant manners and knowledge of household things and ways to take care of her rich husband. Too bad for her Fiona had her own ideas about how a young lady should behave. Girls were meant to be strong and independent in her eyes and that’s exactly how she behaved. Loud and opinionated, you always knew when little Fiona O’Connell was coming. She and Aidan got along just fine with her boyish tendencies. They used to wrestle constantly and surprisingly, Fiona was always able to best him. She never held anything back, even at the ripe age of 21 she was still slightly better than him when it came to wrestling.
When it came to mischievousness it took both of them, so it was natural that she include him in on her idea of spicing up the little family reunion their family was holding. Fiona had previously been dreading the said get together. It was just going to be her family and a bunch of stuck up relatives. It seemed like her family was full of snobs, which was surprising coming from an Irish family. Weren’t they supposed to be laid back and fun? Well, they would be tonight, she was going to make sure of that. Running a hand through her fiery red locks she looked over herself in the mirror. Dressed in a solid white, v-necked, belly shirt and a pair of tight blue jeans she figured her attire was tasteful enough. She wasn’t over doing it and she wasn’t under doing it either. Her hair was draped to her shoulders and she did a small spin before glancing around her room.
All of the rooms in their home were huge and rather extravagant looking. It being an 18th century castle, it was expected. The place had been passed down through several generations and was now in their family’s possession much to her delight. It was definitely fun to explore and after living in it for 6 months, she still hadn’t discovered all the secret passage ways. Her and Aidan were still working on it. There were tons of rooms all decorated in fancy and expensive ways, even fancier than normal seeing as her mother wanted to impress everyone. She and Aidan’s room were side by side, there was even a door connecting the two. It made for easy planning of things, all she had to do was go next door. Even with so many rooms though, their mother informed them they might have to share a room due to their huge number of relatives. Neither of them minded though, they had before, but for now they each had their own.
Casually she made her way to Aidan’s door, she knocked hard. “Aidan! I’m taking the rest of the stuff to the main party room!” she called before grabbing a bag of items and exiting her room. She and all the rest of the younger generations were situated in the West wing of the 2 story castle. Most of the bedrooms were located on the second floor while there were three or four huge casual rooms on the first. It had take the two all day to set everything up, music, drinks, and anything else that would guarantee a good time. She had even gone as far to get some ‘stuff’ to loosin her family more. Including a few bags of weed. Fiona wasn’t into the stuff, but what could it hurt right? Aidan’s job had been to keep their folks and older relatives away from the west wing until it was time for the fun to start. And that didn’t start until they were secure in the East wing getting ready for sleep after a hard day.
It was almost 11, still early for a lot of them but they’d managed to secure the ‘elders’ in the East wing. Fiona trotted down the steps and into the main room and sat down some stuff on the table before making sure everything was in order. Alcohol was everywhere as well as plenty of other things and she started the music waiting on her brother and some of her other relatives to arrive. She wasn’t very fond of some but hopefully them all getting drunk would change things.
