Please No More Complaints About Trump From Canada

de facto poll tax, perhaps.

In a case of poorly crafted legislation it certainly could be.

But that's fixed by offering free state ID's.

Then the only reason against it is (D)'s having a pant filling hissy fit over it.

How have we fucked the US?

It'd be nice to have a POTUS who isn't bellicose and believes in free trade and yes, freedom.

You haven't AFAIK, but you misunderstood me.

I'm saying those who hate the US want a US POTUS to let you and everyone else fuck the US.

It would be soooOOOOooOOO progressive!!!

Most Canadian taxpayers—and I dare say 10s of millions of American taxpayers—kinda like at least a bit of a welfare state:

Sure, doesn't mean letting the whole world come and take advantage is a brilliant idea.

Social welfare is a finite thing, so if you're giving away a bunch of free shit you better secure your shit or your people aren't going to have much to go around.

Now let's start importing and allowing a huge influx of radical Islamic "refugees" into the already stressed welfare state like the Europeans! GENIUS!!!

Guessing by the rise of the right/brexit etc. the European tax payers have had about the fuck enough of the delusional lefts bullshit but it's a hard thing to go back on so they probably are NOT going to stop that freight train before it goes over the cliff.

Canada....not too bad, but I think that's more geography than politics .

Had you been on the Mediterranean I'm sure you would have taken MILLIONS of 3rd worlders in cheering diversity and progress the whole way.

not much worse than government infrastructure or the millitary-industrial complexes

"worse" is a highly subjective term I'm not really comfortable with because it's too broad.

I like to draw distinctions in how government authority is applied and with what intent.

Military = equal benefit for all.
Infrastructure = equal benefit for all.
Other civil services = equal benefit for all.
Wealth redistribution = fucking some to enrich others, almost always to manipulate/control the economy...not quite the same.

—does the American military have planes whose cost divided by mass exceeds that of gold?

IDK...certainly possible.

To hurt the Europeans or the anti-Western jihadis?
:D

The Europeans for sure.

But Harper wearing that cap, it's not really cultural expropriation; it's more like Trump joining with the Arab royals in putting his hands on the Great Glowing Globe of Petrodollar Power.

This was the image I was going for.

(Thank you 8chan.)

The problem kinda takes care of itself.

We are so blessed in that department.

The Atlantic to the east,
the Pacific and Alaska to the west,
the Arctic to the north,
and this +$20 trillion economy to the south.

To my knowledge, I've meet less than 5 Mexicans in Toronto—the last one was back in 2006.

I'm not sure if we took in those 25 000 Syrians.

There are a fair number of Muslims and Arabs in Toronto—including a few of my neighbours, though strangely to my knowledge, I've yet to meet an Arab Muslim (the Muslims tend to be South Asians, Somalis, and a few Europeans—I'm not sure the black lady from Saudi Arabia is a citizen there or even speaks Arabic, and the Arabs I've meet whose religion I know are Christian—mostly Iraqi).

It can be vague, though I'm not sure how beneficial the wars in Iraq have been to the US and if a country with 1000s of nukes needs as many people in the military that it has.

Infrastructure can be wasteful: ditto civil services.

Welfare could be a bit of a bread and circuses thing—a form of social control practiced now and in ancient Rome.
