Because I've been asked more than once...

My sister is okay for the moment. It turned out to be a laser biopsy instead of a full removal of the ovary, and she was well enough to work the next day. The doctors aren't very worried about it, but we'll see what happens when the results come back next week. She could have gotten the results sooner, but the doc is taking a big vacation in Syria. Isn't that grand?

I'm very glad to hear that. :rose:

The world is happy else it wouldn't go on. It is because we love that we see the dark as well as the light, and the light shines from these pages and these people and a tiny child who touched our hearts, she carries a beacon of courage and its light spells love.

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm just a little restless due to insomnia.

Is there a sesction for newbies? I'm trying to figure out all the stuff here and there is so much to scroll through.

Now that was what I was looking for. Thanks again Aurora Black.

I think I might just like it here. *grins*

In my travels through the threads I did read about their loss. As a mom, I can only imagine what they are feeling and I know that I can't fully grasp their pain.

My prayers and thoughts are with them.

Exhausted. Only nabbed about 4 hours of sleep last night.
Sad. I'm still coming to terms with why it is that children ever get sick or die.
Content. I know it in my bones, there's a better place than here.
Determined. I have a long day ahead of me and am super tired, but I will conquer.

My heart goes out to those of you dealing with pain, grief, and loss.
My mailbox is always open and my phone is always on.

It feels so wrong to do the mundane today. Even something as simple as moving a load of laundry from washer to dryer feels like ... sacrilege. And yet, as much as I want to simply sit here in reverent stillness, in so doing I help no one, touch no one, give nothing. I will give today purpose. I will honor the gift by giving back more today than other days, not less.

Good morning, friends. :rose:

It might not seem "good," but there is an abundance of love around us. Today, I will make a conscious effort -- difficult as it may be -- to share that love, laughter, and light. And I will mark this day, forever, as such.
