Morning Vana.

Actually I like early fall the best. The temperature is comfortable. And the trees are beautiful.

It's too early in the morning for me to wax ecstatic about it though. ;)

Wax ecstatic sounds like an activity while making honey :)

It does seem as if summertime has a more relaxed feel to it. Why is that? Less clothing/ less restrictions? Fun vs not much fun in the winter? (water fun and outdoor activities) Or is it more symbolic in terms of the season after "new beginnings" (spring)

Something about it makes me feel like a kid again. The days seem to never end. The sun is out, you have an excuse to eat popsicles and sno cones. I think it's more relaxed because it's this release from winter. Suddenly, instead of so many layers of clothes, you have a chance to put on next to nothing. Summer is a sexy season. :)

Why is that?

Too hot. I live in Pennsylvania, I shouldn't have to feel it get all hot - My ideal temperature is a good 50 to 60 degrees and that's about it. Jeans and hoodie weather; besides, I look cute in jeans and hoodies!

I hate shorts and bathing suits, I don't go swimming - it just makes me uncomfortable. Sweating incessantly isn't my bag at all.

Yes they are.

Helloooo Roxleby and Rumpley and whom ever sneaks in.

thank you for the coffee.

Hiya, stalker. I'm flattered and honored to be your stalk-ee. Sorry to hear about the topsy-turvy tummie. Can't whomp up quite as much sympathy for having to photo computers and clothes - don't overly fatigue yourself, now!

What to I like about summer? Of course I agree about the young girls in their summer dresses. They're having fun wearing them, they look terrific, and so comfortable when it's really hot.

And of course I like the like the handful of times I get over to the beach, reading a book on a chair in a shady spot spot there, diving in when it gets too hot, body surfing if conditions are right. Cooking hot dogs and s'mores with the kids over a beachfire in the evening, watching the sunset.

Those are special occassions, though. The real reasons include having freinds over for barbecues on the deck almost every week. Drinking wine (cold Spanish bubbly for me this summer, but usually cheap red), talking about our mutual projects and interests.

And mundane things - my petunias! This year I doubled the amount, and as I write this I'm looking out at an explosion of red, white and pink lovelyness! There is something happy-go-lucky and festive about annuals; they seem to shout out, "Celebrate, revel, enjoy, party, live!" They're just dumb flowers so they don't finish the thought, but I do: "For winter will come and this will be but a memory, so fill the cup to the brim and drink deep today!"

As you see I wasn't ignoring it at all, but giving it the consideration it deserved, you sexy angel. Smooch! :rose:
