The level of chat and off topic posts in this forum has become ridiculous.
Some "serial chatters" have already been removed after failing to heed warnings.
Listen up, lest you be next.
FYI:
Before you hit "send" on your post, make sure that it correlates to the original post of that thread (not to be confused with the LAST post on the thread)... a good rule of thumb? If it wouldn't stand alone as post number two...or doesn't "match" the subject header, it's probably OFF TOPIC .
Is your post directed at one individual or small group instead of the topic? If it is, this probably constitutes CHATTING. (also be advised that the O.T. loophole does NOT mean that you won't be penalized for chatting/off topic.) If your post contains either, it makes you vulnerable to forum bans.
If you need to flirt or chat, either use email or find a nice little private chat area on the web....it will NOT be tolerated on the forums.
If you have questions, or need further clarification , feel free to email me, Forum_Moderator, or any of the other mods.

Additionally, If you post topics that are done repeatedly to death, or just plain ridiculous they will be deleted on sight, with you in tow. Before you post, learn how to use the forum thread search function.
How To Search
1) The search function is located on the main Forum List Page, or on any of the sub-forum pages, in the top right corner
2) Preferably, (in the empty box) enter one key search word that would most likely appear in the thread subject line.
3) Select "Thread Title" or "Newest Thread" in the drop down box beside it.
4) Click on "Search".
Please note that the key word (text string) you enter will be searched on exactly, mis-spellings won't be found.
If you enter a partial text string like "repl", the search function will return any threads that have that text string in words of the subject line such as "reply" or "replies" or any other words that contain the string "reply", within it.
There have been an extraordinary amount of ridiculous threads being posted here in the last few days.
Those who KEEP posting nonsense when directed to stop doing so will have forum privledges revoked with all due speed!
If you need help in determining what is and is not a valid thread on this forum, please email me or any other moderator and ask. The state of this forum right now is absolutely pathetic.
Chatters ARE going to get banned, and those of you who cannot refrain from repeatedly posting invalid and downright stupid threads are going to meet the same fate.
Evaluate what you are posting very, very carefully before you hit that "POST" button.

"Does age matter"
"Are looks more important than personality"
"What do guys/girls want"
......... have been done to death.

ADDITIONALLY, GIVE YOUR THREAD A SUBJECT TITLE RELATED TO ITS TOPIC
Thread Subject titles should relate to the topic of discussion in the post, this will help facillitate future topic searches. Thread titles that are purposely crafted to mislead people via innuendo will have the title edited to reflect its actual content
Example:
VAGUE:
"What do you think....."
"Need Advice"
CLEAR
"What happens when people get sick of unrelated subject topics"
"I need advice about communicating"
A Thread in any Local Forum can only become redundant in that same Local Forum, unaffected by whatever Threads are in Existance in any other Local or Global Forum. No Billboarding
IF A THREAD DISAPPEARS/ OR IS CLOSED, SEARCH THE TOPIC USING "KEY WORDS", OR READ THE Forum Rules:
DO NOT RE-POST !!!
(If you continually post in the wrong forums, your threads will be deleted instead of moved!)
All Threads must have a valid singular topic reflecting its content, and can't just be created to "chat". [Forum Rules - General]
No Threads, Posts or Messages for the purpose of "Chatting" will be permitted on the Forum.
Chat noun, adj., verb (regular modified) 1. talk socially without exchanging too much information 2. casual conversation 3. An Interchange devoid of any Subject or Topic.

Is your reply addressing the subject, and contributing to the discussion? or is it an exchange of off-topic comments between yourself and another poster.
Use POF E-mail for this.
If you post a reply that has at the bottom:
"OT - followed by on-topic text" = Everything preceding the "OT" is chat,
use POF E-mail for this.
"Chat" will be deleted from forums and will result in suspension of posting privileges!
WORD GAMES
No more 'Word Game' Threads are allowed in the 'Global Forums'.
Some word games and "relaxed" discussion threads can be found in your local forums within reason.
THREADS ABOUT OTHER POSTERS/MEMBERS/WARNINGS
Thread Topics which are based on and/or involve as its Subject under discussion, any POF Members are no longer allowed.
[Forum Rules - Specific]
Any threads that are created to warn other users about other members of this site are considered in the libel/slander category, wether named or not and will be instantly deleted as we cannot validate any such claims.
If you continually follow someone in the forums, posting in an insidious manner about past events gone sour, spreading gossip unfounded rumours, divulging any personal information etc. about the poster, you will be removed from the forums immediately - no recourse.
BROADCASTING YOURSELF
Do not Contact-Broadcast Yourself!
People that either create new Threads or post Messages to promote themselves on the Forum to have someone(s) contact them (Troll Posts), often posting their e-mail address as well. Sometimes they even make such Threads "To Get Other People's Opinions" for Advice about THEMSELVES such as:
"Am I Ugly? What do you think?" ...or...
"Would a Girl go out with a Guy like Me? Do I need Plastic Surgery?" ...or...
"Do you think I could ever be happy? Do Swahili Girls like my small Penis?".
"Rate my Picture. What do all women think of Me"? The Common Denominator to these types of Threads/Posts is that they Do Not Have A Bona-Fide Topic, are usually general broad-based Questions that do not beg any serious Response, and only draw Attention to the Poster HIMSELF..
These Types of Threads/Posts will be deleted on Sight!
Use your 'E-mail' or 'Instant Messenger' to contact People!
