a very big difference between the gurls I knew back in the day compared to the now is back then everyone knew the truth. even if we (and by "we" i'm using the all encompassing gay community) acted otherwise. even the gurls I knew who were successful in their endeavors knew they were really men and this is how they were coping and its the next best thing. There was fewer, much fewer meltdowns over being "misgendered" or "dead named". It's not like that now where its delusion upon delusion and then psychotic break.
