Jaguar - Another Iconic Brand Consigned to the Dustheap of Woke Fuckups

The engine bay isn't that wide. Basically it drops straight down from the hood edges. Everything outside of that is fenderwell and suspension.

Really thinking on it and doing some quick looksee, a donor Honda Civic Type R or Acura Integra drivetrain would deliver 300hp in stock trim and fit easily. The only question would be whether the Honda/Acura drive/suspension would hold the weight and be controllable cornering/stopping/etc. Could move up to Ford/Chevy components for that. Power Rack and Pinion would be nice to get too, the factory steering isn't all that great.

No matter what option you go with, you're going to chop the inner panels quite a lot to fit a radiator in there and then fab up some ducting to make it flow air. The original is vertical tubes and as narrow
as the grill.

Actually could turn out to be a really fun project and end up with something unusual instead of the same old 34 Ford or 50's Chevy everyone else has.

A quick look-see says the Chebby is narrower (cam in block) than the DOHC Coyote, but the Ford is a tad shorter. You're limited with cubes on the Ford but you can go up to 7 liters with the LS in an almost identical block. It would be an engineering project fer sartin.

Didn’t Ford own Jag for a bit back in the 90’s? Then sold off to TaTa?

I think so. I think they sold it off when they became the one of the Big Three not to take a bail-out because they had done a cash-out instead. Seems to me I read they even borrowed money against the Blue Oval trademark.

Now this is cool

There is also a three wheeler version of the Morgan. Two seater, two front wheels and one rear wheel. It does not look very sturdy but it does have a place in a very niche market.

Wikipaedia tells us that this version has since 2022 been called the Morgan Super 3 and the chassis has been strengthened. Definitely not for me. I am not sure whether it appeals to a macho alpha man or someone who has a strong masochistic streak who deserves to suffer in an open top vehicle in the middle of winter.

Mind you, I kind of hope this is all a joke and they will come out with a Jaguar version of this.....

Friggin mall crawlers. They're nothing but worthless pieces of junk when it comes to real off-roading but they sure can empty your checking account faster than the IRS when you owe back taxes.

Well, this looks to be a monumental fuckup, on a par with Bud Lite, except this may destroy Jaguar. Rebranding gone Woke and Insane. How to destroy a brand in 30 secs.

The firm's managing director has admitted that those likely angered by the rebrand are no longer the target market - as it seeks to attract a new, younger audience with an all-electric range of brand new models. This is just fuckup after fuckup. The firm's managing director has admitted that those likely angered by the rebrand are no longer the target market - as it seeks to attract a new, younger audience with an all-electric range of brand new models. So they've killed their existing target market for one that doesn't exist? They're going all-electric just when EV's are losing momentum, and are going to stay a niche at best.

They've killed their iconic and distinctive old logo for some totally forgettable wording.

This is going to be fun to watch as this woke retard destroys Jaguar and management enables him.

They will soon find out what American woke car builders found out.

I had never heard of Wolseley - just shows - the biggest vehicle manufacturer in Britain in the 1920's and where are they now.....I took a look and they all seem to have a fairly standard look and feel.
Wolseley were a slightly upmarket, staid marque. They were taken over by Morris and thereafter were a mirror of Austin-Morris cars with posher trim. You could even get a version of the Mini with some leather & walnut added and a different grille to impress the neighbours.

They did make a police car with chrome bell on the front, but generally it was the sort of car owned by doctors and lawyers (or their wives).

Why you worried about a car you can’t afford propelled by a technology you don’t understand and driven by your betters?

To Londoners, especially any under 50, The Wolseley is a restaurant on Piccadilly. It was built in 1920 or thereabouts as the car company's London showroom. If some discerning gentleman invites you there, go, its pretty good though possibly not quite so trendy as it was 8 or 10 years ago. It's very handy for a meal if you are going to the theatre. My wife likes it: the usual procedure is that she buys tickets for a show - then says "where shall we eat?" I faff around a bit knowing what she wants. Then, as often as not, we end up at The Wolseley, though it's quite a while since we were in London together.
Mr Ishtat

Have you ever tried Rules Restaurant in Maiden Lane WC 2? Between Strand and Covent Garden Market. The oldest restaurant in London, from 1798, and excellent traditional English menu at a reasonable price.

Perhaps the next time you are both in the area Mrs I can be persuaded to try a change of venue. Bon appetit wherever you end up.

here we go....when will the realization that they misread the room and blew it start to sink in......this guy seems to have sure drunk the koolaid

No title = no insurance. No insurance = no registration/tags.

There's a good shot of the engine bay in that bunch of pics though. You can see that there's not a lot of room in there for a big engine or a cross-flow radiator. Speaking of which, that Jag 6 is going to have loads of cooling issues using the factory MkII radiator. British cars already don't cool well so that's not the best option.

Can't a person get a custom made radiator that'll (mostly) fit?

You’re wrong about title, but that’s okay… you tend to type as if you know more than you actually know.

Maybe your sgt noshirt’s cousin?

cooling is rarely a problem in british columbia or england, depends where you live.
