The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I was trained on presentations. Science can be dry. I kept the slides simple and told a story as if my colleagues were not schooled in the sciences. I was asked back to present.
I bet you were good at it! The best presenters tell relatable stories. Slides are for context. I always assumed my students/participants could read.

Good morning to those early risers or insomniacs. I now have to go outside when my dog has to go outside as I spotted a Coyote or was it a fox. I need help identifying the animal. I just know they like small dogs like mine.
My girl is always on a leash. ALWAYS! We have a greenbelt backing the back yard with lots of critters. She would make a tasty little treat!

I already have. It’s on my phone reminding me every day 🤣
I used the giant calendar on the wall in my office. I wrote on it the remaining work days. It gave me great pleasure to cross each day off! My boss always gave me "the look" when she came in my office. Until she decided to retire nearly the same time I did. Then she eagerly looked at the wall to see how many more work days we had left! 🤣🤣🤣

I agree, I’m good on snow and ice is harder. Plus the other area worried me. I have a small all wheel drive and great tires which helps.
Dry snow is usually not a huge problem. We, however, get really wet snow that partially melts during the day then freezes into sheets of ice during the night. Combined with our many hills and overpasses, it's a huge hazard. Then there are the guys (and it's almost ALWAYS guys) in their jacked up 4X4s. 🙄🙄😖

So an update on life.

My pal managed to get the parts for our boiler and repairs completed today so, just as the weather warms the system is back up…perfect!

Today we were out on the hill..everything frozen and so cold air sitting in all of the glens made it so cold. I am pretty bundled up and the boys don’t care. They just want to be out working so by special request of @Lilianna23 and @Missk_2022, here they are!
Gorgeous boys! 😍🐕😍

Luckily where I live, once it gets cold we don’t have a melting problem, although this winter has been super weird so far.
Guys around here are usually ok with their 4 x 4 but you can lose your life to the elements here is you do dumb stuff. The real idiots here are the underaged car thieves! Some can barely see over the dash, not to mention having almost no driving ability
