The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Well what a few days….temperature dropped to around 26 and boiler packed in. Valve burst and sprayed water over the control unit…both screwed so no hot water or heating with freezing temperatures. Fortunately we have an electric shower and stove in the lounge that takes wood or coal. Waiting on parts for god knows how long grrr!
Oh geez. That’s sounds awful greylag. Hope you can find a contractor or the part soon!

I love stew on a cold weather day! I made some chicken and rice soup that was more like stew. Also some beer cheese bread. I fed some to one of the guys today. He liked it!
Yum! I made butternut squash soup or thick like stew. And sourdough bread with some cheese for dinner.

Snow last night and no taxi run until Monday!

I would love to have a snowball fight! Maybe one day...

Good morning!
You need to move north young lady! We have a few snowfalls large enough for snowballs. When I was young boy, I remember building snow forts and tunnels and ambushing my older sister. Our neighborhood had a dozen boys and girls my age so snowball fights was common😂

We didn't have enough to dig tunnels, but definitely forts. We had single basketball courts at the playland, and we would build forts making bricks of snow and stacking them. It would take a day to build the wall and pre-make snowballs and the next day we'd have war. We also rolled huge balls larger than we were and then form chairs out of them. I haven't seen snow since. I was 10 when we moved to the sunshine state

I had a job where I traveled about 10 days out the month to cool places, I loved the job and the places but I got to the point where I hate eating out and wanted my own bed.
Sometimes when I working semi locally and I have a hotel room at the show hotel, I still drive home to sleep.
I used to travel a bit more too. Not as much as that, but maybe 3-4 days a month.

I kind of miss the change of scenery and the people. But not the travel part!

There is one flight from Cincinnati to Newark that is the most delayed flight in America. Got to the point where I would take a one stop to Detroit or Washington DC and get home faster.
