Have you ever had real Kona coffee? It's pretty strong, but it's as smooth as silk. I'm personally not crazy about it, because there's literally no acidity or bitterness to it.

Also also, I usually just get Walmart-brand French Roast or Colombian. Tastes just fine to me, but occasionally getting the fancy stuff is a nice treat.

Light roast has slightly more caffine than dark roast. You have nothing to be ashamed of, dark roast coffee is overrated. Breakfast blend all the way!

I don’t know how ashamed I can be when I was doing generic Folgers before these gifts

It's a custom blend for my shop called Silhouette. Beans from Brazil, Colombia, and Peru. Medium-dark roast. Package says it has flavor notes of black cherry, toasted almonds, and toffee. I don't taste any of those things, but it's really good.

I literally just learned that within the last year or so. I always assumed that richer flavor meant more caffeine. But I guess longer roasting cooks out some of the caffeine.

The absolute worst coffee I've ever had, including 4 a.m. truckstop coffee, was Maxwell House. The big canisters were on sale for really cheap at my grocery store years ago, so I tried one. Took one sip, and threw out not just the rest of that cup, but the entire canister.

As far as I know, it's still one of the big three or four brands. The commercials always make it sound amazing. But I've never talked to someone who actually liked the stuff.
