Wishing you the best possible and expeditious colonoscopy. I had mine three yrs ago..they found 5 or so polyps, so I’m on the three yr plan…they just called for me to make my appointment. It’s been three yrs already!? Ugh…

I’ll be joining the foul tasting paste, jello eating, throne resting regimen after Thanksgiving…I do think instead of prep the night before, I’ll just get up early and start then waltz in around noonish…

Be careful! If you're not clean, and I'm talking pristine, your procedure will be canceled and you'll just have time do the prep all over again.

Yes wishing you the best... I'm a regular at that also and true the hardest part is the prep but i do enjoy the propefol.

So irritated. Grocery delivery scheduled for 10am. Window is 10a-12p. Driver showed about 30 min ago.
No 4-digit code.
The store's entire system is down.
No one can help b/c they don't have a low tech backup in place. Having the Order # didn't matter.

So the driver just left - with my entire order.
I don't blame him - he's just as stuck as I am.
But really? Everything is at a dead stop until your system is back up and running?

Okay - don't whining.
Tempted to just get new cold packs and take a nap.
So irritated!!

Fentanyl and versed and i remember watching the procedure.....I could see him moving through my guts...it was sort of cool.... one part hurt a bit. Felt pressure. 4 polyps 1 sort of big one on the stem...all to the lab to test them.... been passing gas and has been wonderful.... the first swig of diet pepsi was magic

You're a braver woman than I am. I have zero desire to watch my own procedure! Give me the propofol so I can sleep through the whole thing and wake with selective amnesia!

I hope the path report is clean. Enjoy your reward for enduring the prep!

I went all morning without my medicine. I did have to take my Tylenol at lunch though. I didn't use the patch today. Thought I would test it out. We had a fire drill so I had to get down the stairs with a quickness, so that is why I ended up taking them. I'm a little stiff and sore but not bad Thanks for asking! How are you feeling?

Wow! That's impressive. Glad you realized when you needed something and took it.

I'm doing well. This is the first medical issue in a long while where I've managed to stay ahead of the pain. It's also the least invasive and intense, too. Still...

Staying ahead of the pain helps your meds work better and results in a smoother recovery! Well done!

(yes, in a full calendar year)
had to give up all red meat around 7 years ago
body just said, "nope"

Good morning, have a thrilling Thursday (or a peaceful uneventful one)


A moment of mirth to start the day


After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply

for Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked me

for my driver's License to verify my age. I looked in my pockets

and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman that

I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later.

The woman said, 'Unbutton your shirt'.

So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair.

She said, 'That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me' and she processed my Social Security application.

When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office.

She said, 'You should have dropped

your pants. You might have gotten disability too.'

And then the fight started...

I asked my wife, “Where do you want to go for our anniversary?”

It warmed my heart to see her face melt in sweet appreciation. “Somewhere I haven’t been in a long time,” she said.

So I suggested, “How about the kitchen?”

And that’s when the fight started.

My wife and I were laying in bed one night and she asked

"If I died, would you remarry?"

"Yes, if I was in love and found someone I could trust, I would for our son's sake"

Next she asked "Would you let her live in this house?"

To which I replied "Yes, I wouldn't want to have to move our son out of the only home he has ever known and I don't see the point in leaving this house with so many great memories."

Then she asked "Well would you let her use my golf clubs?"

And I reply "Lord NO!"

"Why not???" she asked

"Because... She is left handed..."

And THEN the fight started!

I had a busy day yesterday, lots of driving, and I'm tired. Probably overtired, like a toddler. I'm headed for my bed; I get to sleep in today. I won't have workers here till noon!

Today is when the handyman comes to do some painting. My essential tremors no longer allow me to do such finesse work. It’s a hazard of age and genetics.
