God I wish this was all just some horrible nightmare.

We are bigger and stronger than one man. We survived it, and can survive it again.

1) If only it was just one man. Are we bigger than about half the country, the house, the senate, and the next 40ish years of the judiciary branch too?
2) So SO many avoidable deaths occurred because of his misinformation and mishandling of COVID-19 and as a result of his Supreme Court appointments. Not to mention those who died at the capital on January 6th, and those his supporters killed while counter-protesting other events. We did not all survive.
3) This is not going to be like last time. They have the Oval, the house, the senate and the Supreme Court. He knows he can be convicted of dozens of felonies and get away with it. He knows he can use the government for his own financial gain. He knows he can threaten the interests of women and minorities and still receive their support. He flat-out told his supporters to get out and vote this year, and they wouldn’t have to again, it would be taken care of. It could get so much worse.

I genuinely love that you said try to make them good humans and not nice or polite or whatever other word people tend to use. I feel this world is in a deficit of good humans. (Not trying to be political, I meant as a general species) And I don’t think I’m an awesome parent but I do try to be better, every day.
