Truly!!! Fuck the pumpkin spice stuff. Thankfully, it should be heading off the menu sooner. Perhaps the so-called daylight savings is its death knell of a sort.


Actually, there is a good ol' college dive restaurant not far from here that has as eclectic a crowd as any in town, or at least it did. Don't go as often as I once did. But then, I lived four blocks away, so why no go?

I don't drink coffee any more. Starbucks has a fine energy drink.

They have no stores in my hood cuz political BS by the money corrupted faction of the Dem machine over here in the holler.

I am siding with them in the local vote against the virtue signalling crowd. I take vice over virtue every time.

I would like to get a S&W Model 27 some day before too long.

My old man taught me how to make a decent pot of coffee when I was a kid. Of course, that was with an old stovetop percolator, but the proportions still work as we evolved into coffeemakers. I have strengthened it a bit, but it's still the same count and the same basic recipe. Stuff doesn't get built without a decent load of coffee onboarded to crank up the day.


I thought that Starbuck's was lame when they first came to town. I made acquaintance with some people who were fans and they dragged me along. I'm not a fan of their regular coffee, but their coffee drinks are good. Some of these folks were there 3, 4 and 5 times a day, and I'm sorry but I'm not dropping $30/day there. I use Starbuck's as a treat on occasion. I make my coffee at home each morning - down to 2 cups these days because. I do tea more than I did. I used to be a cup of 2 on the weekends, but now I'm more like a cup daily.


I don't do energy drinks. I'd watch some of the kids go through half a dozen of those during the day at work. I guess that's no more excessive than drinking coffee all day - which I have done in spells. I feel like I know what's in coffee and I'm not sure about Monster or the like.


No more booze in any form, and no cannabis, either. I'd never get anything done if I did, I fear.

When I used to feed cats on the front porch, I put out what the cat(s) would eat while the sun was up. The raccoons and o'possums came at night for whatever was left. I never knew about them. The Basset treed a 'coon one night. I lost two cats to the traffic.


The last cat spent the summer playing with the girl cats through to window glass. When it cooled, I let him in.

I don't do anything to encourage them looking for food other than the bird feeders and we know how I deal with that: practicing my marksmanship. I have to keep the machine oiled and clean, the rifle too...

My last house shall be away from trees. Houses seem to do better with the vegetation away from the footings and out of the shade. Also, fewer critters.


Pasture Poodles don't come to the front porch looking for food. The front yard is an entirely different matter.
