Puerto Rico's G.O.P. Chairman Demands Apology From Trump

I wish him the best of luck,

... and thanks to you, I have now actually heard of the guy.

Of course the election is purely symbolic in PR. Not a state -- no EVs.

But here are a LOT of Puerto Rican voters living in mainland states.

The very same people who complain about a low birth rate also complain about the high birth rate of Latinos. Make it make sense in a way that isn't "we really want just the white people breeding, not everyone else."

Okay.

Their body.

Their choice. I think they knew going in, what could come out of it...

The Venn diagram is JD Vance, dude. He'll carve out an exception for Usha, being a hypocrite and wanting his own bloodline to survive, but he still sticks to this mad kind of white natalism. Did he rebuke Hinchcliffe? Nope. I wonder why.

See John Tanton.

Promotion of eugenics

[edit]
According to CNN, Tanton "has openly embraced eugenics, the science of improving the genetic quality of the human population by encouraging selective breeding and at times, advocating for the sterilization of genetically undesirable groups."[23] Tanton wrote a paper in 1975 arguing for "passive eugenics" whereby child-bearing would be restricted to those between the ages of 20 and 35.[24] He also founded the pro-eugenics organization, the Society for Genetic Education (SAGE).[24]

Opposition to immigration

[edit]
In the words of Rafael Bernal of the Hill, Tanton's opposition to immigration was "on the grounds of population reduction and protection of an ethnic white majority".[25] According to the New York Times, Tanton over time increasingly made his case against immigration in "racial terms".[26] According to the New York Times, Tanton also said "One of my prime concerns is about the decline of folks who look like you and me ... for European-American society and culture to persist requires a European-American majority, and a clear one at that."[26]

Resignation from U.S. English

[edit]
In 1988, shortly before a referendum in Arizona to make English the state's official language, a memo written by Tanton in 1986 was leaked to the media.[27][28] After the memo was published in various newspapers including the Arizona Republic, executive director Linda Chavez resigned,.[29] Former supporters of the group, including Walter Cronkite, Saul Bellow, and Gore Vidal, also ended their association, and Tanton resigned from his position as chairman.[11][30]

Tanton complained that he had been smeared as a racist.[31]

Funding of FAIR

[edit]
Under Tanton's leadership FAIR was criticized for taking funding for many years from the Pioneer Fund, a non-profit foundation dedicated to "improving the character of the American people" by, among other things, promoting the practice of eugenics, or selective breeding.[30] FAIR responded to this criticism by asserting that the Pioneer Fund clearly states that it supports equal opportunity for all Americans, regardless of race, religion, national origin, or ethnicity; that other major organizations, including universities in the United States and other countries, have also accepted grants from the Fund;[32] and that the Pioneer Fund's contributions to FAIR were used only for the general operation of the organization.[33]

They vote like idiots. I am sure many of them will follow Nicky Jam and vote for Trump.

Sorry.

I do not care that much about Puerto Rico.

I worked in the big city with a bunch of black ladies and they always referred to me as "that nice Puerto Rican" boy.

I guess, to them, we all look alike...

If Stanton really believed in his principles he would advocate the forced sterilization of everyone living in West Virginia and similar states. They contribute absolutely nothing worthwhile yet are a drain on the civilized states which must fund their inadequacies.

Personally, I want Latinos having babies like everyone else. It's an answer to the demographic time bomb that afflicts much of the West. If they work hard, obey laws, pay taxes, etc. and raise their children to be good, solid Americans, what's the issue? They commit crimes at lower rates than their neighbors, at least the first generation immigrants typically do. If they have children who are natural-born citizens, that's good, not bad. The people who want rid of "birthright citizenship" seem to want rid of the Fourteenth Amendment and the principle of civic nationhood, rather than an ethno-nationalist state, that it laid down. This provision in our Constitution was radical in the best sense. It transformed us, legally, into a nation instead of just a union of states, and it established the bedrock of the America that could be in the present and future, a post-racial America where citizenship is a right, a birthright, yes, and not limited or denied to some groups of people in this country because of race or ethnicity. It gave us the America that could win two world wars, achieve great scientific progress, and become the world's largest economy for decades, not to mention more of an aspirational country than ever.

America the aspiration, the ideal, that's the America that many of us cherish. America has flaws, but its greatness lies in those principles, in that vision, in that principle of equal justice and the rule of law, of full, participatory democracy, etc. We betray that greatness when we seek to undermine that foundation.

Somebody really needs a therapy session or a better windmill.

Maybe one with sails...

Carlos Mencia had a routine about how all Latinos look alike to Anglos.

Eventually, we will all pretty much be one general Crayola™ Beige, but by then, we will be scattered across the nearby universe and speak one language, hopefully based on Fortran or I wasted a lot of the 70s...

I mean.

Eventually.

In the year 2525...

I am not familiar with Mencia, but I have experienced it with the Chinese too, the lighter northerners think the shorter, darker southerners are the scum of the planet and treat them accordingly from Beijing.

I expect it will be English.

[Pic of Puerto Rican brain dead cult member]

Another lover of Orange Fuhrer—who preaches politics like telling a kid not to touch the hot stove, while sitting bare assed on said hot stove.

She’s not even a real senator. Yawn.

So is Trump ever going to deliver that apology?!

Or is he prepared to just write off the Puerto Rican vote?
